Hey gang, can we recenter Lasan as an atrocity that happened to ZEB instead of a regret that KAALLUS gets to feel bad about??
There is obviously room for nuanced conversation about how each of them interact with the Massacre of Lasan post Kallus' defection / post Lira San move, but it is-- quite frankly-- not only tired but deeply disheartening and downright IRRITATING to read posts that forego ALL of that nuance in order to use Lasan as leverage to give Kallus an excuse to wallow in his own pity. I find it very unsettling to read or see things that imply that Zeb is "over Lasan," or "fully healed," because that is such an unfortunate mirror to how actual minorities in the real world are expected to CONSTANTLY be the bigger person and just "get over" their historical and continued oppression.
I dont want to make it sound like Im trying to be The Kalluzeb Police, but I think that conversations revolving around Lasan should be far more centered on the person who's life was stripped away, as opposed to the person who had to atone for it, just as I think those conversations should be centered in real life. I find it deeply tonedeaf to imply that Lasan was an atrocity that Zeb, a character coded to be anything BUT white, would be able to "get over," ESPECIALLY when there are global conflicts taking place-- currently, right now, in the modern day-- that ARE destroying peoples homes, livlihoods, and lives. With that, I double dislike when that "Zeb is over it" rhetoric is used to create a scenario where Kallus' feelings about Lasan are ALSO boiled down, and are made into something akin to white guilt that he ends up coddled by Zeb for having.
AGAIN, I dont want to sound like I am trying to be like Holier Than Thou, cause I'm really not trying to be, like I want all of us to be able to have fun playing with our dolls. With that, i want to make it clearly obvious that I understand that Zeb and Kallus are not real people who we can like genuinely offend, but I want to point out that they exist as allorgories for real people, and real atrocities. Again, play with your dolls, have fun, that's what fandom is for! Its just that sometimes when your dolls are addressing atrocities that happen in the real world to indiginous communities and people of color, its important to remember that nothing exists in a vaccuum, and the ways in which we talk about these characters and their experiences with war, trauma, and loss are going to be a reflection of how we are perceiving the world around us.
Im sorry, but the idea that Zeb is "over" Lasan, an event that ripped his entire life away from him, while Kallus is not? I dont think that's a fair assessment to apply to either of their characters, and I think its equally-- if not moreso-- unfair to any people of color who interact with this community to be put in a space where Zeb is being written to "get over it" for a white mans sake.
I just think it's point blank WEIRD to be centering a man who participated in a genocide rather than the man who survived it.
All things considered, I think they did a pretty good job. It's not perfect and it was never going to be, but I think he looks pretty great. (And fluffy!)
I know im not on here much but. Would any1 want some Kallus and Skyfire and Starscream thoughts/scenario
I feel like enjoying Kallus is part of why I dont mind a lot of the things with MTMTE Megatron that others do

Let us remember on this fine day that the "Kallus was always a good person who was made to do bad things by the empire" argument is WRONNNGGGG and BAAADDDD and WATERS DOWN HOW EVIL HE WASSSSS
Let us remember that Kallus' story SHOULD NOT convey that "sometimes good people do bad things" AND RATHER THAT "There is no such thing as an inherently good or bad person. You are only ever as much as your actions, and no matter how bad your actions have been in the past, you always have the CHOICE to do better moving forward. You can always CHOOSE a better future for yourself and for others, so long as you're willing to put in the work needed to make that happen"

I know I’m not on here much but I can’t stop thinking about how easy it would be for Transformers to end up in Star Wars, even if its just a few of them. How cool it would be. And also thinking about Skyfire and Kallus could get along
The Ghost but its a Transformer
I know i havent been around this blog much but. I’ve been thinking about Kallus and Skyfire (and starscream) again.
it's so funny to me how, immediately before revealing that he's Fulcrum in An Inside Man, Kallus says to Ezra and Kanan in the turbolift
"Don't move, rebels."
in his typical Evil Cartoon Villain voice
my dude you are on their side and about to let them know that WHY would you say that like that OBVIOUSLY they're gonna attack you

I hate tumblr mobile sometimes. I go to see if posts have a certain feature and suddenly ive sent it to someone i didnt mean to or its like ‘thanks we’ll have a look’ and im like at WHAT I didn’t touch anything!
Anways i wish there was a way to kinda hide certain ppl without unfollowing but i may just have to bite the bullet and tell someone (in a different fandom) they are simply unpleasant

I decided to go with Zeb as Muldoon when I realized that meant he and Hera would get to wear cute matching raincoats.
Jurassic Rebels part 1, part 2, part 3
Ok ok so I’ve talked about Kallus being close woth Skyfire and Starscream but also imagine how funny it would be for everyone else who would probably interact without knowing.
Specifically imagine a scenario where Ezra and Sabine are on a mission with Kallus in his cool new ship that has another, smaller weird looking fighter ship of some kind (it’s definitely not an x wing or y wing or any other kind they’ve ever seen). And the whole time Ezra’s kinda of on edge because while he can’t quite place it, it FEELS like there’s others there. Like maybe the ship Kal found is haunted or something spooky like that.
But it really comes to a head when the two of them are in the cargo bay with the jet and Sabine is talking about how she should give it a paint job for Kallus and Ezra just feels this wave of malice coming from the jet to the point it genuinely spooks him. Of course when confronted Kal’s like ‘oh yeah they’re haunted and don’t paint the jet please’
As much as I love the thought of Skyfire and Kallus being close, Kallus ending up close with a redeemed Starscream would also be funny if only because both of them sound like they’re plotting n scheming even when speaking normally

Look there seems to be alternate forms of energon throughout Transformers media. Liquids. Crystals. Dark Energon. So I'm sure it wouldn't be too farfetched for there to be power sources that don't seem to be energon at first glance but are.
Anyways Kallus having the meteorite piece on him when he gets stranded on the ice planet and finds a shuttle half-buried in the ice and snow that he uses for shelter. The meteorite ending up being a small but fairly self-sustaining power source that Cybertronians could use but not really anything else. Kallus accidentally putting it somewhere important in the shuttle and waking Skyfire up with a small but powerful energon source.
And then they are friends
FUCK I JUST HAD A REALLY GOOD KALLUS AND SKYFIRE IDEA WHO WANTS TO HEAR IT
