A Tower to fill with dreams and dust

Since people were asking about the horned girl here’s the sculptor’s work. It’s a one-man doll artist called Stars Are Falling who only makes heads for pre-order. I believe Gii was the newest pre-order that just ended a couple days ago. Most of this artist’s head is $70 each and fits on ¼ bodies. The heads are all hand-casted by the artist themselves.

i still want a fresh light green version of this one, but the autumn leaf is very good for the season.

this little stick bug, who i have been calling sirca, is a double first; both the first bjd i sculpted by hand, and the one i learned 3d modeling with. it has gone through the most prototypes because i needed to figure out sculpting from the beginning, along with more technical things like making joints. i might still go back and add knee beans for more poseability.

the leftmost, handmade one seems quite clunky now, but it was also made in one afternoon with minimal tools, hanging out at a friend's dinner table and playing with some polymer clay i had bought as a distraction from life being Absolute Shit at the time. i definitely have a fondness for it, because it started my dream of running a small business.

a commission for a friend, who needed an eos to go with their scholar cosplay. it was interesting to work on a design that is so far from anything i would usually make. had to flex my non-existent anime girl sculpting muscles, but i think the end result is mega cute.
