Noir Lune Work Log #1
Noir Lune is my very first doll
I wanted to create a small Barbie-sized fashion doll with intricate details. Around that time, I discovered Fashion Royalty dolls, and I was completely captivated by their refined clothing—an influence that left a big mark on me.
I designed the outfits and shoes to be compatible with Fashion Royalty, so that collectors could enjoy not only the clothes I personally propose, but also mix and match with existing wardrobes.
Through multiple test prints, I worked on shaping her face. What I value most is structural beauty. I wanted a face where the subtle outline of the bone structure shows through, carrying its own unique story. The result was deeply satisfying.
The body took about a month of test printing after the initial modeling. During the testing phase, she could stand on her own when wearing shoes—but in the final version, this became difficult. The smoother surface finish of the final parts reduced the friction in the joints compared to the test prints. That was something I overlooked, and it remains my biggest regret. Still, it taught me an important lesson. In my next work, I will address this issue and strive to create a more complete piece.
