lollll a little while ago I went to get a mammogram bc when I was staying in the hospital with my dying cat I started having pain I didn't care for but I was denied when I got there bc I'm not old enough (even though I put my age online when I made the appointment and was not prevented from making the appointment) so I went to the obgyn for a breast exam and while I was there she said normally we don't do hpv tests until you're 30 but you turn 30 in less than a month so Im just gonna go ahead and do it so I said okay. Then I received a camera speeding ticket for $100 in the mail from when I was driving home from the mammogram I was denied (the day before my fucking cat died) and then I got a bill for $160 from the obgyn for the hpv test and I called my insurance to ask why and they said it's because that test is only covered if you're 30+ (I turn 30 in two weeks and also the obgyn never mentioned this) and I spent over and hour on the phone with insurance trying to understand my explanation of benefits bc the math didn't add up and the woman kept saying she didn't know and didn't understand why the EOB was showing me what it was showing me and she pulled a bunch of other people in and eventually she just. Hung up on me. like fully on purpose just couldn't figure it out and hung up after wasting an hour of my time and leaving me with the full bill. So now I owe $260 ultimately all bc the fucking radiology place can't figure out how to set their website to not let me make a self referred mammo appointment if I'm under 40. Having fun!
