Slice and Dice

          𝐈𝐅  𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐕𝐄  𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃𝐍'𝐓  𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄  𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍  so  in  love  with  criminal  justice  ,  her  other  choice  would  have  been  medicine  .  but  even  so  ,  with  her  major  ,  she  still  needed  to  know  some  basic  things  from  the  medical  field  ,  which  is  why  she  asked  ava  for  help  .  gen  had  a  paper  to  write  and  while  the  due  date  was  in  three  weeks  ,  she  knew  her  teacher  usually  gave  extra  points  to  those  who  finished  earlier  .  she  was  waiting  for  the  other  woman  to  show  up  ,  drinks  and  snacks  ready  as  well  as  the  books  they  needed  ,  so  when  she  heard  knocking  at  the  door  ,  gen  got  up  quickly  and  went  to  open  ,  a  smile  on  her  lips  . ❝  hi  !!  come  on  in  .  thank  you  so  much  for  agreeing  to  help  me  .  i  hope  you  didn’t  have  to  cancel  your  plans  for  my  sake  .  ❞  //  @docavapowell·

Ava did not usually believe in helping people--surgery was a cut-throat occupation, and if others fell on the way to glory, that was one less person in her way. But Genevieve wasn’t a potential surgeon, and she was kind and cute, and hell, Ava had been feeling generous the day she agreed. Plus, she’d been promised free food. As a PhD student operating on close to no funds, free food was always very, very welcome. Anyway, once the girl opened the door, all bright smiles, Ava couldn’t find it in herself not to care about her. “Nah,” she assured her. “I was free as a bird today. Don’t worry about it. Good, you got em,” she added, pointing at the text books (and the snacks beside them). 

Esther longed to surge forward and kiss her, but she knew better than to try anything besides exactly what Ava told her- plus, the heat pooling between her legs was enough to tell her that she needed to keep doing exactly that. She pulled her top over her head, leaving her body completely bare to the other woman- she hadn’t worn a bra that day. She raised her own eyebrows as if even she was surprised, she mocked innocence, telling her with an almost teasing shrug, “I just… forgot.” 

“Yeah, you know…” he chuckled, shaking his head. “I try to avoid that at all costs. I’ve definitely never been in a fight.” Rocky’s face lit up as she moved closer and mentioned paying him back. “Give me your number. I mean… it’s the least you could do.” He teased. 

“Never?” she repeated. She laughed a little, pulling back in her chair to take a long sip of her drink. “Then you’ve already got more brains than most men at this place.” She clearly spent too much time at frat parties, watching jocks punch each other for the smallest of indiscretions. She looked at him over the top of her glass, sucking on her straw, as if contemplating his price. “Okay,” she said finally, putting out her hand for his phone.

“i hope your place isn’t far,” she teased, though zoe’s apartment dorm was located only a five minute walk away. zoe bit her lip for a second, trying to decide if she was picking the hints up correctly. “well, if you don’t mind company in the form of me, i do have a pretty large bathtub.” so hints were not her specialty, zoe just laid it all out.

“you’re crazy,” she replied with a laugh, shaking her head at the naked woman. “i’d be miserable, honestly. and then in the need for a long hot bath and maybe someone to help ride my body temperature.” which could be  as pg rated as cuddling or much more, and zoe certainly wasn’t thinking about cuddling.

“I swear, if I took a shot to every person who pointed out that I’m not wearing a toga, I’d probably be drunk by now,” Luna said with a warning tone as the other approached them. The offer--or rather, the order, disguised as a throwaway suggestion, yet said with such power, such conviction, it was impossible to deny--sent a shiver down Ava’s spine that had nothing to do with the winter outside the windows and everything to do with the woman uncrossing her legs on the other side of the desk. Everything about her screamed power, and it gave Ava goosebumps to watch. It also made her panties wet. Trying her best to keep her cool, she nodded curtly and stood up, moving to the other side of the desk. She sat upon Zinaida’s lap. “Is this better?” she asked, facing the older woman with a look of innocence she was not likely to earn. “I wouldn’t want you to miss anything especially when I was saying how much you inspire me.” 

A small whimper left her mouth at Ava’s words and, so, Esther wasted no time pulling her pants down, bringing her panties with them. I have that kind of face people remember.” She joked lightly, watching the other tug at the sleeve of Paige’s toga, complimenting it. “Thanks. Yours is not so bad yourself.” She grinned. “Although, you look a little out of place to be here, don’t you think?”

receiving  the  woman’s  name,  she  truly  began  to  put  the  pieces  together.  of  course  she’d  never  say  that  out  loud,  that  would  be  rude;  but  canting  her  head  to  the  side  some,  stern  face  slowly  loosened,  turning  curious.  she  truly  would’ve  waited  until  they  got  home  before  analyzing  her  further,  but  her  words  deserved  to  be  scrutinized  a  little  more.  she  was  so  willing  to  put  herself  out  there,  after  all.  ❝  of  course,  miss  powell.  though,  now  that  you  say,  i  can’t  help  but  wonder,  ❞  she  continued,  easing  back  into  her  chair,  her  gaze  cool  and  controlled.  ❝  what  else  about  me  seemed  to  catch  your  attention,  as  you  seem  so  prone  to  flattery.  ❞

Ava played her bottom lip through her teeth, still deciding how to approach this, how to approach her. She decided finally upon keeping her cool, leaning back in her chair casually, grossing her legs, her smile not once leaving her face, though she was curious about the string of emotions she saw pass over the professors: interest, cool control. “Well, I’m supposed to say your credentials, or your teaching profile,” she said. “That you have good reviews on Rate My Professor.” She shrugged. “And it’s all true. But why lie? You’re beautiful. You make Angelina Joline look average. And you’re smart and you’re powerful. You run the department, and it seems like you run your life pretty well too. I like that.” She waited to see if she’d overstepped, to see if the invite for wine, if these questions, were really leading in the direction she’d thought they were--that she hoped they were. 

Fuck it. Charlotte thought, it felt too easy, but that was something she needed. Easy was good, easily got her laid most of the time. “You’re pretty cute yourself.” Charlotte licked her lips. She had felt like she was drowning in soccer and school all week- sex was a necessity she hadn’t had yet this week. “What are you going to do about it?”

Had she been more sober, she might have also been more poised, played a bit harder to get, taken her time. But as it was, she was horny and she was ready to go home with someone, and when opportunity presented itself, who was she to say no? So she moved forward, filling the distance between them, and pressed a kiss to the girl’s lips. “Come find me if you decide you want to get out of here,” she whispered into Charlotte’s ear, then she pulled away and went right back to the dance floor as if it hadn’t happened at all.
