The only desk she’d gotten in the library had been the one that was directly opposite the books she actually needed, irritating enough in itself but upon walking back to the desk, she had been flicking though the book and gotten involved in a chapter. Coming to a slow halt, she found herself leaning against a shelf, not even sure which aisle she had landed in. Hearing a voice, she glanced up and chuckled it a little, “Oh snap, you mean this isn’t the history aisle? That sucks…” she replied sarcastically, before her lips tugged upwards in a smile, holding up the book as an excuse, “I don’t do well with reading and walking and paused, my bad. I wasn’t aware it was a.. no loitering zone… wait, sex row? Am I giving off a waiting for sex vibe? Damnit, I thought this was my waiting for someone to buy me food sweater.”

Eric nodded, pretending to listen. he didn’t really care if people were deep into the library aisles or not, he just wanted to be able to find his book in peace. “You’re giving off a lot of waiting for sex vibes.” His head turned as he saw the title of the textbook he needed in his peripheral vision. “And if it’s any conscolation- I don’t think it’s the sweater.”

So Eric was adopted, his moms are lesbian legends.

He’s the oldest in his family- he has 2 younger sisters and a younger brother

Was very protective of his younger siblings growing up even though he didn’t need to be

One of his moms was a state senator and the other one is a pre school teacher

He’s been nurtured all his life and nothing should’ve made him a gross alpha male but during his time in college he was one

Having lesbian legends as parents, they were not down for this alpha male bullshit. His moms tried to shut it down, get him to see that he was being a real mf dick.

He didn’t listen and he didn’t want to listen. Eric was so set in his own ways that he didn’t care.

His moms loved him and wanted to support him, but he was just being such an asshole that they couldn’t. Once he got his first bachelors degree he was cut off financially. To him, love was measured in money and that’s why he was a business major- he was very caught up in greed that way.

Being away from his family didn’t last too long. He worked at some corporate place, and got very unhappy, he was making money, he was able to live his own life but fuck was he unhappy. B

Returning to his parents was a humbling experience for him, they welcomed him back immediately and honestly they were all impressed that he had lasted that long without them. It comes up every year at thanksgiving to break the tension of whatever else is brought to the table.

He spent a year literally not knowing what to do with his life. He lived at home, went to work and tried to figure out what he really wanted to do but couldn’t. His mom, pre-school teacher mom, got tired of it and told him to just go back to school. So he did. Eric found that he just loved learning, he was good at learning. He’s in the biochem doctoral program, and this is his 2nd phd.

                    A smirk tugged at a corner of his lips, brow raised as russet gaze turned to her. “What ?? You’re telling me you’re not a fan of —” face scrunching up as he began to read them name off the menu, “— HUGGAMUG MOCHA ME CRAZY LATTE ??” A short chuckle, he shrugged in agreement. “You have a point though ; if you’re gonna have all that sugar might as well just have a soda. It’s all about tasking the bean, y’know ?? Except those coffee beans that are made from literal shit, might have to have a ton a SUGAR in cup of those,” he quipped.

“No.” Charlotte did not even try to laugh along with the boy to be polite. She had already stated her option, and he had obviously heard it. “What kind of coffee are you having that your beans are made from literal shit? Do you know how coffee beans are made?” Charlotte loved coffee and all it stood for.

“listen,” began the dark haired girl, playful smile on her lips to show her tone, “you can have all that bitter stuff, but i need my sweets.” finished she, laughing a bit. ava lived for sugar, and her coffee needs were no different.

“But like, if you’re going to have a caffeinated sugar drink then why don’t you drink soda?” Charlotte wasn't trying to shame anyone's coffee preferences, even though hers was obviously superior. “Is it because the coffee isn’t carbonated like soda is?”

“i sometimes like the sweetness… but most of the time i just do some creamer.” winona shrugged as she brushed some hair out of her face. “the flavors can be good too…. like i’m a sucker for a good french vanilla something.”

“I think the coffee world has too many options.” Charlotte knew that there was a handful that was more popular than others, but it still was too many options. “I went to this bagel place and they let you build your own drink- some of the fucking syrups were crazy. There was an oranges, key lime pie, and other shit. It’s all just too much. Coffee on its own is so good.
