for the record, because im seeing people express disbelief: they aren't stupid and doing this out of ignorance, at least not the people who started the psyop. meth has never been referred to as T, ever. that is 100% made up. when you start the debate by accepting that as a true fact, you have already lost and played directly into the psyop. this shouldn't be "explain to people why it's okay to say T for testosterone instead of T for meth in certain contexts" it should be, "what the fuck are you talking about, nobody calls meth T, that's made up".

and one last note: we also should not be arguing that a doctor or nurse shouldn't help drug addicts consume their drugs in a safer manner.

do not give them an inch on this, it hurts multiple groups of people

Like this sounds wild but like. hear me out. a person is such a ridiculously infinitely complicated web of thoughts and feelings and beliefs and such an unbelievably huge amount of knowledge and the idea that you can destroy that by holding a pillow over someone's face for three minutes is absolutely surreal. The idea that you can remove knowledge and emotion and memory from the world with a physical object is literally unbelievable. people are literally infinitely huge and complex and the fact that you can kill the person by killing the body is wild. I'm sure this is incoherent but I hope you get it

I mean, if you choose to grapple with the basic existential question of what it means to be a person, to have consciousness, with associated memories, feelings, knowledge, beliefs, etc., but then refuse to consider anything beyond a materialist conception of reality, you're going to end up with this paradox. The end of any individual human life does end a physical reality, but the idea that it removes "knowledge and emotion and memory from the world" only makes sense if you believe the "world" is only what you can physically perceive with human senses.
