Oooo, so I had this in my ask-box for a while because I wanted to kind of cultivate some tidbits worthy of an answer. But honestly, I've got the brainworms for the small details.
So, you're getting the small tidbits first.
𓆌 When Gideon has you and Karl under his control, you're seperated from Karl - but he allows one hour weekly visitations. It is always you going to Karl, though. Never, will Karl know where you are or how to get to you. So, you're driven/flown/transported to a location that has Karl completely immobilized so there's no way he can break the two of you out when you visit.
𓆌 Gideon, of course, does not allow any privacy during these visitations. Whatever cell he has Karl locked up in during these times has cameras and mics set up in every corner.
It's to record any reaction from the infection when Heisenberg starts becoming unhinged when the hour is over.
𓆌 Because as if Karl is going to let you go without firsting demanding to know you're safe. Or, at times when he really needs you nearby, Heisenberg will resort to violence if he believes you're in danger.
𓆌 And yes, Gideon does run tests on you. Nothing life-threatening, but sometimes you come to visitation looking tired or a little bruised. And Karl loses it.
His reactions and the scale of his power is recorded every single time.
𓆌 When your results come back negative for any strain or infection, you go from a test subject to a plaything for Gideon.
Like a pet, almost. You're given free reign of the facility but always surrounded by guards or some sort of protective force.
Mostly to keep you from interferring or escaping. But Gideon is confident he has you under his control. Because what can a mere human do?
You're not Leon Kennedy or Grace Ashcroft. He has you trapped.
𓆌 Sure, you can't roundhouse kick a zombie to death but you do have something Gideon wants. Information.
𓆌 So, you barter. You give Gideon information and in return you get more time with Karl.
It takes some negotiatng and a little trust building but eventually you are rewarded with time. On occassion, you'd offer real juicy or important information, and Gideon would provide Heisenberg with something he needs.
𓆌 It's a foot in the door for you. One step closer to getting Karl out of Gideon's grasp.
𓆌 Heisenberg on the other hand, is Gideon's new experiment. He's tested on and put through horrible examinations all because Gideon wants to know every inch and molecule of his infection.
𓆌 In return for Karl's obedience, you're kept safe. Heisenberg may have one hour a week with you but at any given time Gideon can pull up a video feed of you in your room to taunt him with.
𓆌 "Bare those teeth at me again and they'll be choking on their own blood." Gideon would warn Heisenberg.
𓆌 But in truth, Gideon is at a stalemate. If he did something to you, there would be nothing keeping Heisenberg's leash in his hands. But if he didn't dangle you like a carrot, the other man would surely break free and rampage his way to you.
𓆌 He's stalling. Gideon is doing his best to keep up the illusion of control because if he loses that, Heisenberg truly would destroy him.
You are the only thing keeping Gideon alive in this situation.
𓆌 That's what he tells himself when he watches you on the monitors, at least. That this fascination of you is nothing more than a necessity to keep you alive, so Gideon can keep himself safe.
