Unobedient slaves
There was an unobedient slave. He did something that is punishable. This slave decided to sit around idly and not doing anything when I told him that he was supposed to farm. This crime will be punished. I am outraged by this slave’s horrible and stupid actions. Only a punishment for this slave will make my anger go away. The punishment that I have decided upon minutes of thinking is whipping. I shall whip this slave five times with all my strength. I am being nice because it is his first offense.
This slave deserved the whipping. Now this slave has learned his lesson. He will never make the same mistake again. He will obey every command of mine. Slaves are supposed to work and obey their master. Next time that slave shall be tortured for three hours. I do not tolerate this behavior. All of the slaves should also learn that they should not make this same mistake.
How do southerners think it’s acceptable to have slaves? These Africans, like us, are human beings too! Everyone acts as if the slaves want to be there, when in reality, you know you would never want to be in their position. Whipping them and punishing them will only cause more problems and hatred between the two groups. You treat these people like they’re animals! As if your fields are a zoo or something! You separate families from each other and mothers from their children! You whip and harm these people and feel no guilt or remorse, how? How can you not show ANY sympathy towards these individuals?
