Hi I love your artstyle and work, AMAZING and I hope there will be more people joining in on the community/fandom
Question is how do you think the characters (You choose) in BSC would fare in a horror movie? any horror movie like with a monster, or paranormal or they're trapped. What would they do or what role would they take??
Thank you so much! That's really sweet of you. I hope we'll see more people joining the fandom as well, if only because I love getting to talk about our little game!
As for your question... I'll try to cover as many as I can, because this is SUCH a fun one to think about omg
If you ask me, Killian would handle things terribly. He'd not take the threat seriously until it's way too late, and then panic and get himself killed immediately. RIP Killian, the second victim. The first would be Elliot, who would voice his disapproval at the first monster he encounters and promptly get dismembered. Lacy and Vincent would probably die off screen of heart attacks I fear...
I think Hugo, like Killian, would not take the treat seriously until he's already neck-deep in trouble, and then pull a sacrifice play before the final act. Peter would be the competent one in the group, but he, too, would pull a sacrifice play at the earliest convenience. He is not final girl material. RIP Peter and Hugo.
Sandra, Elena and Alina are clever and resourceful enough to be totally fine. As would Reece, who would absolutely be final girl material because they are just that genre savvy and would buy into all of the nonsense supernatural stuff without question. I believe Ilya, Efia and Maria would also be quick thinking and open minded enough to take the situation at face value and make intelligent decisions.
Clara would probably be scared at first, but step up to protect her friends. Lukas would spend a lot of the time screaming and being terrified, but find his courage after Bjorn gets injured defending him... But only after he spends a good part of the movie being carried around.
Olivia spends the whole movie complaining but somehow survives because she has plot armor. Lawrence spends the whole movie yapping and gets killed for comedic effect. RIP Lawrence.
Wendy would probably backstab her friends thinking she can out-smart the threat / escape to safety and end up singled out on her own. RIP Wendy.
And lastly... I could see Feng being the type that knows her limits and doesn't want to slow down the younger generation. She'd probably be the wise mentor figure that goes in a tragic blaze of glory before the end of the movie. RIP Auntie.
And... That's all of em! I'd love to hear what you guys imagine

Hi! I just finished BSC and I loved it, so started on the demo for LNLC and I was wondering what happened to the bartender of BSC? I know that we're playing as a new person but did something happen to the old person?
Sorry for leaving you hanging with this question for so long! But thank you for asking it.
Short answer: nothing is really set in stone about what happened to the old bartender as LNLC is a standalone game.
Some of the characters still refer to BSC bartender as their friend, or (in spoiler mode) as someone who played an active part in events of their past, but the game leaves the question of where that person is now unanswered. They've earned a reprieve from Bukovie's drama.
We didn't want to alienate new players by having the narrative haunted by a character they didn't know and would never meet, and we also didn't want to lock in a future that might not gel with peoples' headcanons for their personal bartender. It unfortunately was not within scope to make a complex flag system to account for all the options, or to let people import saves... So this felt like the best solution for now.
(People have been asking about being able to set flags for characters like Peter, Hugo or even Lacy being taken in BSC, and I am still looking into this... but I can't promise that yet.)
What's Clara's family situation like - we heard about her mom but is there anyone else? How clean is her apartment? Can she cook or is she a "cheapest thing i can get my hands on premade" kinda person? And importantly: has she ever bitten someone in a fight (pre-bartitsu anyway)?
I just decided we need to give Clara more love and ask more stuff about her.
I didn't really write anything for Clara besides her clue responses, so I'm not actually sure what her family situation was intended to be. My personal headcanon is that she definitely has siblings, and I could see her being the baby or the middle child... Though I don't think she's super close with her family since moving to the city. A bit like Maria.
She probably can cook, she's a competent enough adult, but whether she takes the time to on a daily basis is another matter entirely. I don't imagine she has a lot of patience for household chores...
Bitten... I personally don't think so? Maybe as a very young child fighting back for getting picked on, hahah. She's scrappy and all that, but I personally see fighting as something she enjoyed and got into (first with boxing, then with bartitsu) for the 'sports' aspect of it all, burning off her energy, challenging herself, learning to control herself and her own body etc. Not because she actually gets into fights or anything like that. Even with a killer on the prowl, she'd sooner run away than try to win a scrap at any cost. Breaking skin like that... doesn't feel very 'Clara' to me personally.
We're given biographical data from the STAC of how old most of the characters are, but for Hugo we only get the year he moved to Tsara and Ilya doesn't have an entry - I have a feeling that Hugo is probably younger than I think and Ilya is probably older than I think, but do you have rough ages for them?
I try not to set things in stone after the fact too much, but I can at least give you what we on the team had in mind while working on the game.
Hugo is supposed to be around 28-29 I believe - a decade younger than Peter basically. Ilya is indeed a bit older than most people would probably assume. She's in her early 30's.
Meet Teddy. An energetic troublemaker with a hatred of authority - especially cops. Teddy is a surprisingly sensitive soul, hiding deep wounds and insecurities behind an abrasive façade.

Hi Dins! I just recently discovered that I can send questions to you here, so I rushed right over! My English isn't very good, so I'm really sorry if this message sounds a bit weirdβ¦ π₯Ίπ¦
I love Bukovie and I love you too! (β§ββ¦) Thank you all so much for making BSC and LNLC. I'm so excited that I'm not even planning to blink before LNLC officially releases! (lol)
I know the game still needs some time in the shaker, so if it's not too much trouble, I just wanted to ask a tiny, tiny question: can we expect a new trailer anytime soon? π₯Ίππ Seeing it would give me the strength to keep waiting a little longer!
Lastly, would it be okay to ask about James's food preferences, without causing any trouble? ( β’ ΜΟβ’Μ )β§ Are there any foods he absolutely loves or hates? (Please just ignore this part if it's not convenient to answer, I'm so sorryβ¦)
Anyway, I'll be cheering you on!
ππ(βΒ΄βο½β)ππ
Aww, thank you for being so sweet! It makes me so happy to see people so excited for the game to come out. Asks like this really make my week.
I'm afraid the game indeed needs "a bit more time in the shaker", as you put it. The initial response to the demo has been wonderful, but we also want to make sure we give the full game the proper attention it needs instead of rushing it out the door. The game has a lot more content than the original despite being made by a smaller team, so it'll take time :')
(If only we could include everything people have asked... But then it'd take even longer to be made hahah)
Unfortunately I can't promise a new trailer in the near future, they're surprisingly resource intense to make, but I'm going to see whether it'd be possible to release some material from the full game on the official blog soon - including reveals for characters from beyond the demo, and maybe some fun interactions from later cases!
As for the James question... The game will bring it up in places, but considering his vibe it's probably not a spoiler to say he's not much of a foodie. I think he's the type that dislikes anything greasy, fried or overly heavy. He's more of a snacker than someone who eats big meals. A big "grapes and crackers" type of guy. In other words, I am 100% projecting my own love of pickled herring onto this man, and nobody can stop me.
hi there!! ive been playing the heck out of BSC after stumbling across the LNLC demo, these games scratch some very specific gameplay itches for me that i really enjoy with beautiful art!! i wanted to give big compliments to the art team, your gorgeous sprites, the environments, the drinks! i love the UI design too, all the little animated elements are so elegant!
as a recent art school grad who wants to go into concept art for games i hope i can get sprites into a visual novel myself someday!!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I made sure to pass on your compliments to the team, heheh
And best of luck in the future of course! I'm sure you'll make your dream a reality in no time. Sometimes it still amazes me that I get to do this for a living myself, especially as someone with no background in art. As games go, VNs definitely feel like a welcoming and very creatively stimulating genre.

Meet Leon. A cunning, hard-working reporter with good intel to trade. Leon is as charming and self-indulgent as he is ambitious, and probably too curious for his own good.

Still experimenting trying to find a colouring method I actually enjoy...... this is my first time trying Greyscale First and it's... certainly interesting
Meet Alfie. Bright, sensitive and a little timid. Alfie is trying to adapt to life now that his father has returned from the war, but the distance between them feels greater than ever.

I really wish I'd grown up with clip studio paint or like... started learning how it works when I was younger, because now that I'm an old hag that program just scares the hell out of me.
Every time I open it and I touch any of the brushes everything just feels so Off and I can't figure out how to do anything or what any setting means. I want to be able to use all of those cool texture brushes everyone uses these days but trying to replicate it in SAI is a nightmaaaaaare
