9. What’s the kindest thing each one has said to the other?

For some reason, nothing in particular comes to mind (only dumb stuff), maybe because they're always pretty honest with each other. I guess for Maro, it's something along the lines of Cecile telling him that he's the most caring person he's ever met. Considering all the problems Maro has with feeling like he doesn't really care much, that actually meant a lot to him

For Cecile, probably every kind word from Maro is priceless because it's not often he gets to hear those hahahah (Not that Maro can't compliment him, he's not shy about pointing out all of Cecile's good qualities, it's just that Cecile does a lot more to piss him off)

24. What have they learned from each other?

I like to think they sometimes teach each other something small but handy that the other knows. Like Maro showing Cecile how to sew or braid hair and Cecile teaching Maro how to play common children's games or telling him random facts (some of them being about detectives or murders and Maro has to pretend he doesn't know that most of them aren't actually that useful)

28. How do they make up after an argument?

Cecile is pretty quick to cool off and come apologize for losing his cool (doesn't mean he changed his mind tho, he just hates being rude) He's like a cat that would sit outside the door and sadly meow until he's let back in then rub all over you

Maro needs a bit more alone time, but when he regains his composure he comes back with some kind of peace offering, like a plate of fruit or a drink

If we're talking about fights between them, most of them are harmless. It's usually just Cecile annoying Maro until he tells him to fuck off and sends him away to do something else, so there's no real need to make up afterward

5. A time when one helped the other out of a tough spot

Okay, lore dump! (New and old one)

So when Cecile found out about his dad's schemes, including convictions of innocent people, he decided to collect all the evidence to get him arrested. But of course he couldn't do it alone, especially since the whole situation involved bribes from the really famous people, so he decided to ask the only other competent person who knew about all this - Maro. He worked for Cecile's dad at some point as a member of the Family and had an access to most of the information about other people involved that would be enough to lock them all up even if police would try to close the case. But they weren't that close, Cecile was kinda just following Maro like a dog because he liked him, but they didn't knew each other well enough. Still, Cecile was determined to make things right and practically begged Maro to help, offering various reasons for him and Family to benefit from leaking the information, but he himself knew Maro didn't trust him enough

But the most important thing is that Family had a very strict policy. The first rule is to never kill anyone, and the second one - never give up information about the clients, it's the foundational principle of the organisation, to keep people's secrets safe no matter how perverted and horrible they are. Every member got those principles imprinted on them mentally to make sure noone would even consider betraying them. Maro is no exception, so he refused to help at first, but something about Cecile's determination and self-righteous passion to safe people who got hurt by his family stuck with him, especially since he didn't know Cecile is capable of being someone more than an obedient son. And as a result, he felt like he wanted to do something, not because he was commanded to, but because he wanted, for the first time in...well, forever. In the end, they had a deal - Maro doesn't need to leak the information, he just simply had to get a confirmation for one fact, something small, but crucial to the case that had no way to get ignored by the police. Just a simple "that happened" detail, a recipe or an adress for a witness, so it's not Family who can be suspected of providing the evidence

Of course it wasn't subtle enough, just the fact that multiple of their clients got in trouble already set a domino effect, leading to the accusations and, eventually, self assassination of all the adult members of the Family to preserve it's secrets and what's left if it's reputation (Maro was turning eighteen on the next day so he was spared, getting the "honours" to become the leader of a new Family generation which he wholeheartedly ignored)

So yeah, that was a BIG favour that kinda blew out of the proportions. Maro never regretted helping Cecile nor blamed him for anything, especially considering how miserable he felt years afterwards himself. But does he blame himself and sees it as him killing his own family? Of couuurse😇😇
