The Final Beating of Earth
I don’t see what the trouble is
Because here I am on this planet that is alive and breaths like me
And my instincts are to provide myself with food and shelter
So what is the rest of humanity doing?
Consuming and controlling?
It’s clear there are two separate breeds
One is human and one is alien
The ones that chose the life we live
Because I see other mammals and reptiles
Made up of atoms like all mater in the universe
I see them living the way they should
They accept what and who they are
And they embrace it through life
So what are humans doing?
Classifying themselves by material wealth
And not by how one speaks
Following an alien form of life
Things flow with an energy
And when that energy is disturbed out of greed
The Earth begins to heal that area
And it may not be in my lifetime
But I know the structures that stand today
And with these thoughts in mind
I remember my time on Earth is not eternal
In fact my time here is going to be relatively short
Really, Eighty to one hundred years just means I circled the sun that many times
So what is humanity doing?
I know the legacy I leave behind on Earth will reflect on my soul when I die
So I ask all the humans, who are clearly conscious thinkers…
Are you all comfortable with the world you have created here on Earth?
Piles of trash and boxy buildings that housed greedy businesses…
The Earth will have fun taking it all down
On the last day before humanity finally realizes their backward ways
So here I am, a sensible human being, residing on Earth
And my only intention is to survive and enjoy the beauty of the planet
Yet I have to sit and ponder why it’s all being destroyed around me
This is not progress; this is purposeless slaughter of Mother Earth. Please stop.
