BESIDES THE TIME THAT SHE SPENT WITH HER FAMILY, daenerys had never felt so at home as she did in her hospital. well, it wasn’t exactly her hospital, but as of now, given that she could name every patient in here by name, she supposed that it was close to that. it was her second home and.. nothing made her happier than to be here and to lecture bright, young minds, that would soon help save as many lives as possible. one of her interns had chosen to hang nearby, in order to ask her a few questions that he had collected over the lecture and for a moment, DAENERYS had not been able to hold back a laugh, because the poor boy was so nervous about the whole damn thing that all she wanted to do was reassure him that as long as his main goal was to save lives, he was going to do more than well at this job. when it seemed like the poor boy was not about to pass out, daenerys gathered her things in order to exist the lecture room, saying goodbye to him, just as she spotted who was standing there. “DARLING! you don’t know how good it is to see you, by the seven, it’s been such a long day! how are you?” she threw her arms around his neck, deepening their kiss, because.. by the seven, nothing would EVER be better than to see her husband wait for her, just outside of a lecture room or even closer to her office. it reminded her that they would have forever together, that they would get to do this PLENTY of times and right now, daenerys couldn’t be happier about that. and yet, as soon as she pulled away from him, it was obvious that she had noticed that there was something wrong, because she knew him. “AH. so, that is what this is about.. please don’t tell me you’re jealous of him? the boy was so scared that he could barely talk to me straight - i had no idea that i could be TERRIFYING to some people, but.. my point is.. you have NOTHING to be jealous of, okay? NOTHING.” daenerys moved closer to her husband, keeping her arms wrapped around his shoulders, in order to be able to whisper in his ear. how was it possible for him to think that she could ever LOVE anyone else? “care to join me in my office, just so i can prove that to you?”
— “mmm. jealous of him? no, no, no. he should be jealous of me, and he likely is!” JORAH offered a soft smile, as he felt the tension in his body release, once his wife reassured him. did he believe that she was flirting with another man? of course not. however… it did pull at his heartstrings, in a certain way, to observe another man making her laugh from her belly. there was no true insecurity, but just a simple whisper of how deeply he adored her. this was a parallel situation as to when his dragon wife became jealous of a female colleague of his at the university, when they’d both attended an in-house office party. their feelings of slight jealousy were healthy, because they indicated how committed each of them was to the other person. “can you BLAME him?” jorah prompted, his blue eyes glistening with affection, as he admired his beloved. “his supervisor is the most beautiful and intelligent woman in the world.” if he had been a young intern, new to the job, and being evaluated by a woman of daenerys’ beauty? he doubted that he could have completed his medical training. not before he attempted to seduce her, and to win her heart, anyways. “mmm…” jorah said, closing his eyes, savoring the movement of her lips against his, reminding him of how calm ocean waves lapped over an eager shore. “no, i suppose that i do not have to be jealous,” jorah agreed, lifting his wife into his arms playfully, before he placed her back down, and leaned over, so that she could reach his neck, upon which she could drape her arms. jorah was thinking about saying another romantic line, before he saw daenerys gesture for him to lean down. he could feel goosebumps rising on his strong arms, when he heard his wife-to-be whisper what she did. “daenerys, you… you have nothing to prove to me,” jorah promised loyally, his words interrupted by an endearing swallow that he always engaged in, whenever DANY transitioned into a state of seducing him. even in her full medical attire, she aroused him. no matter what she wore— or did not wear— he adored her, and wanted to be ONE with her. they were one body, one soul, one mind, one heart. clearing his throat, trying to reduce the redness of his cheeks, jorah nodded briskly. “but yes! i shall join you in your office, my dragon.”
