The routine and lack thereof Devin always coming in and out of their house without being warned; mainly because Hazel never knew when she was coming. If she thought about it, Gabi probably had enough of that, right? She knew that she had a hard time sleeping and if Devin was already pretty much always over there anyway, wouldn’t it make sense? As these questioned danced in her head, she allowed them to subside the moment that their lips were pressed together. All the worry of what Devin thought or what she thought herself disappeared the moment that they were connected in such a way. Almost as if, the voices could be silenced because they were given what they wanted… A theory. Baby? Did she say baby again? The voices came back, but not in a way to alarm her but to soothe her? The way Hazel was feeling right now, she wasn’t going to question it, because it felt right. It felt no different than any other nickname that Devin had said to her over the years. Her own lips hummed softly against hers as she pulls gently on the woman’s collar once more to bring her just that much closer. 

Not knowing what to say, all that she could do was giggle. The way she was just hanging onto the other, anyone would have thought that she was a god-damn koala. It was nice for her too, being so close to Devin. As much as she just wanted it to be because of how close they were and them being best friends, Hazel wasn’t stupid in knowing that there was something else. How long could she go by keeping such a thought to herself. Not like she can tell her best friend – it was about her. Her face squints as a kiss was planted to her head, and then once again as her cheek was being gently touched by Devin’s finger. “Celery would be pretty happy with that, huh?” she thought over in her head as a distraction from the fact that Devin said that she’d love to have her around everyday. Hazel’s officially internall screaming. “There would be no more three am facetime calls of me waking you up,” she used as her way of saying I’d love to be around you everyday without ever saying it. She thought about it, Gabi was such a good friend and was there for Hazel when she had no one, even before Hazel had met Devin. “I don’t know – Maybe she’s had enough of me and ready to pawn me off on someone else. That or she could want her own space. Who knows,” she laughed it off. In her mind, this was a playful comment and not anything to be taken seriously. Unless of course, it ever were to come to that. Once Hazel was laying in her bed, she nodded as she starred up at Devin. “It sure is,” she propped herself up with one of her elbows and using her other free hand to grip onto the woman’s collar, pulling her down from hover just enough for Hazel to gingerly place her lips ontop of Devin’s. Her lips on Devin’s are so light, hardly touching them. But the spark that came off that touch eletrified every sensation in her body. Hazel knew what she was doing wasn’t what best friends typically did but, they did it that one day in the car right? And everything was fine afterward, right? This wasn’t going to make things anything different – or so she thinks. 

“You said it, not me,” she stuck her tongue out at the other with a playful look making its way towards Devin’s direction. It had become to be so natural, so typical for the brunette to find herself sleeping in the other woman’s close. They reminded her of her best friend – which seemed to be teetoring away from but – never mind that. It reminded her that there was someone who cared for her and wanted her to be okay. She hadn’t expected Devin to pick her up into her arms but, the thought had crossed her mind a few times what it would be like if she had. Hazel knew that she was strong – oh so very, and she grew curious what it felt like to be in them in such a different way. Her mind was racing and she couldn’t find the switch to turn them off. Her arms wrapped around Devin’s neck as she made sure that she had a grip enough to where she wouldn’t fall, even though she knew it was impossible. The younger woman even rested her head on Devin’s shoulder as she wrapped her legs tigether around her waist. “Mmm,” she nestled herself a bit more into her neck, “You might still be sweaty but this is still nice,” she admitted. Wait, did she just admit that? Hazel, are you serious? Keep those thoughts to yourself, BEST FRIEND, remember? The words were screaming, but she barrelled through them. “I might need to move in with you instead of living with Gabi,” she said jokingly – or did she?

“Well if you guys don’t end up doing it at the bar, I’m more than open to hosting it here. I love to do trivia stuff.” Bailey smiled at the female, taking another sip of her glass as she heard the woman explain herself. She playfully rolled her eyes before sitting her glass down and crossing her legs to get more comfortable on the couch. “So there’s nothing you want to talk about? This is girl time. We talk about any and everything here. This is a safe space.” The Han girl motioned to the air in front of her, doing large circles to ensure that Devin understood the metaphor.
