“No one is coming to save you.” I disagree ! I believe many people made up of many small moments come to save pieces of you , even if just briefly. The mentor who believed in you . The friend who said they’re proud of you. The family member that makes you laugh . The random person who held the door for you out of nothing but kindness. The teacher who took extra time to help you understand. The person who smiled at you when you walked into a store. The little kid who looks up to you. The person who randomly complimented you. Being “saved” isn’t about being whisked away and all your hardships gone, it’s about the people and things that remind you life is not all hardships, it is kindness, love, gentleness, softness, care, thoughtfulness. It is many moments made up of your lifetime that keeps you going and showing you the world is still beautiful, and will always be. Despite.

This probably sounds silly but there is one lady who sells random stuff on the side of the street right around the corner of my uni and back when I was in my first year I was coming in one day feeling very overwhelmed because I was about to see my professor about an exam and my grade I wasn’t happy with and my shoe was untied and I had to stop to tie it but it was raining and I had my backpack on and I was struggling and just as an act of kindness she walked right up and tied my shoe because she saw me struggling. I think about that moment every time I walk through there and it makes me smile every time. Another one is when I lost my phone in a taxi and I had no network and had it on silent so practically there was no way to reach him so I figured my phone was lost forever but the next day I tried calling it and he answered saying his wife had found the phone and he was charging it waiting for me to ring it so we met up that day and he gave it back to me and it was around Christmas and I was with my sister and she told him he was such a kind person for doing that and he got emotional. Mind you, these were complete strangers. These little things.. they really stick with you because they make your life a little bit easier and a little bit better and that’s all it takes sometimes.
