just imagine seelie you, pretty and thoughtless, leading him to every treasure trove you can find. you shine and float so happily, incredibly proud of all the chests and coins and shiny rocks you sense- they're all for him! all for your creature-friend, the tallest and best glittery monster! who he is- well, you're not sure. but you know he's safe, and warm, and holds your ethereal self so, so gently. he must be a friend, to do all of that, and friends deserve things that sparkle, all facets and polished silver. you twirl cheerfully in the air, dancing about as he digs up another box, tarnished and crumbling with age yet filled to the brim with lovely, useful items. isn't he happy? isn't he delighted? now he has more things, and with more things comes more glimmer and gleaming
Foul Legacy's claws tremble, curling around the treasures and baubles, shaking the little beads and gemstones. you- what's left of you- shimmers worriedly, resting between his twin horns. it's not fair. how are you still so sweet and kind, knowing nothing yet still concerned for a beast like him? you snuggle and curl into his hair, wriggling beneath his jaw, and Legacy slowly raises a hand, brushing his claws through the light and mist around your form. barely there, hardly existing at all. a shell, a husk- his fangs click shakily together, tears pooling in his singular eye. then Legacy hugs you, desperate yet gentle, fearful of hurting you with your fragile body, happy hums slipping from you as you curl into his warmth. unaware. unknowing. he shudders, tightening his grip
