I try my best to put in atleast one drawing, sketch or doodle into my day for practice. I don't always have time to sit down and record them however. But this time I had the chance too. I had a ball doing this and had fun looking for a new theme for BnS, which I ended up with a Egyptian one. I liked the idea of having gold and black in this design. Gold for all the sand and the posion from a scorpion plus the black because black goes well with everything, right? Ha! I tried my best to draw out the loose/light clothes that made up the outfits. I thought it was little too plain so I added the scorpions to the theme as well since they like hiding in the sand. I know I've failed in showing how well the Pharaoh's crown but there is a scorpion's tail that makes up the base/the part where it holds it up around the head of the male's design. Not sure how well you can see it since black on black is a bit hard to do, hoping the darker background allows you guys to see the drawing better. As for the female, that is a wig on her that the tips of the hair are "dipped" in gold. The necklace she also has on is made up of [you guesed it!] gold and the jewels are black diamonds. I wanted to give the females some claws? Or maybe the best word for those things would be gold fangs.. Since I think it kinda goes well with the scorpion's tail/scorpion theme. I just really love arm/hand jewelry, so I think that had a bit of an impact in the design when it came to the gold and black jewelary I put on them both. I kinda had a hard time with the sandals as I wanted something that gave the.. hugging feel of it, like they are on there but just because they are wrapped around enough to stay on. Wasn't really legitly thinking about those I guess, They still look nice and that's all the matters right? It's why women wear heels. Speaking of which the female's sandals have a bit of a heel on them. The bangs on the wig for the female are wrapped in a gold band. I wanted the wig to almost be like the ones they normally do have for them but I wanted it short for some reason because we can't have enough short hair types! I also wanted this hair to change depending on the character that uses it. Well the black to change, the gold bands and dip stays the same. And I wasn't sure how to handle the hair for the males with that crown, normally they don't have hair at all and or they don't allow it to show so no idea how to handle that one with this design.. Thought about making some bands show or something but I failed badly so just left it out.. Also kinda wanted the Pharaoh's crown to show up for the Familiars as well as the scorpion's band/tail around the male and female's arm to be on the Cat's tail. I can finally show off the Lua design from MxM I had made a few weeks ago for the context! Note I did cut off the hair just to show the outfit better, she has her normal long hair, sorry if this threw anyone off. The robotic steam-powered arm was a bit tricky to do for me, I had so many ideas for it but I hope this one makes sense. I tried to give it a real-feel since I like knowing the design might work in real life if done right and having it kinda easy to just draw on your arm in real life for cosplayers makes it a plus in my book, haha. All of the chains on this suit are connected to buttons. To give you more info on how they are. The power glove I wanted to make it so that it would "power" her gun as she is the only one that could use it. The dark brown corset, while the same shade and color as the frilly half-skirt is not the same item, The skirt is a ruffled clothe and corset is made out of leather. I also have one in another color I will post, I thought this one fit in better as far as steampunk goes.
