Graphic designer Laura Maxcy needed a hands-on creative outlet, which didn’t involve the digital world to infinitely inspire her. A free-spirit with a nomadic soul, Maxcy began hand lettering quotes on vintage landscape prints, she found during thrift store visits to decorate her room. After gaining much practice she drew inspiration from Transcendentalist writers, such as Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and John Muir and nature.

Her love for travel propelled her to add hand-lettered quotes onto vintage globes. Filled with inspirational and wanderlust-inducing themes, the feel-good calligraphy adds a magical quality into geography. You can find her collection in her Etsy shop.
