Here's the first one. The assignment was to create a make-up look that would go well in a black and white photo. I din't score that hight because it wasn't intense enough, but the overall execution of the look was technically alright. (although the lips could have been done slicker.) Seeing these pictures really helps me seeing and learning from my mistakes. 

My teacher loved the lips thought, she said "oh yes, the model with the 20's lips"

my second module in school is over. It was a fun learning experience, and I have grown immensely since I started this module. I feel matured in my art, but not quite there yet. I'm looking forward to my next and last module in this course.

The second shoot I did With Bram De Ceurt. 

This time we used two models, a Caucasian and an Asian girl. We thought the contrast between the skin tones would be a nice effect, we added a the ivy later when both of the girls were in the tub, but started out by playing around with the violet colored flowers. Both of the models did an amazing job as well as Bram himself.

I was very happy with my work, and I'm doing another two shoots with him at the end of the week. 

I did a photoshoot with Bram De Ceurt a Belgian photographer.

He wanted to redo an idea he had for a photo shoot he toyed around with before. The idea was to put a girl in a milk bath a create the effect you see here. He wanted to set two completely different emotions and feelings next to each other to create the photo you see here, one etherial, fairy like side next to a dark lustful entity as though they were twins. 

I loved doing this, and I hope I will word together with him in the future. His ideas a fantastic, and I love the he gave me the chance to make mistakes and learn from them. 

My header is photographed by the wondeful Robyn Luypaert, who I've had the chance to work with on various occasions ! It's always nice working with him.

It took a while but it certainly is worth it.  The artwork on the board is great. I'm still waiting for the second one to come through but it's a start. I hope they were happy with my work, I was certainly happy to do it !

So, the 28 of september, a small group organizes something calles "Antwerp Fashion Night", or AFN. The concept is that people will be able to shop at selected stores util 10 o' clock that evening.

Before the go shopping, they will be able to get their make-up done, there hair, and receive styling advice and help from a personal shopper.

Afterwards they will be able to enjoy music and drinks at an afterparty (the location seems to have slipped my mind)

The people needed some pictures for the official press release, those pictures will be puvbliched in the september issue of weekend knack. And the make-up for those pictures will be done by you'res truly.

When the magazine is released, I will upload both the original pictures, and the magazine scans.

Last weekend, I helped out as the make-up artist for the photo shoot for a friends collection of jewelry.

His collection was based on the underground fetish subculture of London. It looked very nice, and some pieces were very wearable. We had 7 models, and the all needed the same style of make-up.

The basic idea was to bring the geometric shapes the jewelry had, back on the body. So the lines that we found in the pieces were drawn on the body with black liner and blue eyeshadow, to bring back the blue color of the hairpiece they all had glued i their hair. Aside from that, there eyes were darkened with grey silver and black shades.

The shoot itself took place in an old monastery, witch was turned into a squat. It was a very nice location, and at times extremely disgusting (cut of moldy pig feet hung on the wall's, disgusting and reeking bathrooms, and lavatory,...) The building lend itself to the theme of the shoot. It was wonderful.
