You'll pay us for everything and own nothing and you'll thank us for it
Sony's just guaranteed that I'm never buying a non-physical game from them again, and yes, that does mean that in 2028 I'm not buying any new games for a Sony platform. Older used games, sure, but no new ones.
And I might just cancel my Playstation Plus account soon as well. Fuck their "free" (not free) monthly games. Don't care. Tired of not owning the things I pay for.
And so, I did cancel my PlayStation Plus subscription. I hope I’m not the only one. Companies that try to wrest control of the things you buy from you don’t deserve your money. This is a money grab, pure and simple, and thus they don’t get any more of mine.
The PSN outage is affecting all services
The PSN outage a few weeks ago makes me once again glad I still haven't bothered with anything Sony after the PS3. My condolences to people who trusted Sony to actually let them own their games, I highly recommend taking this chance to get into DRM free PC games, emulation, and older game systems if you can! Especially these beautiful babies:
You can pry physical media out of my cold, dead hands
sony cutting off physical discs while also implementing a system that doesnt allow you to actually own ur digital games due to that 30 day verification whatever not to mention outside of gaming for the past few years sony has stopped producing on physical formats which is insane because THEY developed nearly every format every company uses( dvd, bluray, cd, etc ) so they have the biggest hand on production leaving a vacuum now that theyve stopped plus being absolutely shady with their digital marketplaces most recent example w/ pulling studio canal conent & the funimation / crunchyroll merger still has missing anime never added back to the app the shut down of multiple studios + the end of destiny 2 despite wanting to focus on live service which is just code for focusing on gta6's online mode & nothing else like adding the years upon years upon years of extra added shady sony horsepiss not just playstation but sony as a whole the fuck am i expected to spend a SINGLE dime with them again
adding to the "you dont hate sony enough" they also announced today they are shutting down the ps3 & psvita digital marketplaces so fuck preservation of games for older consoles ig !!
I said this last night, but I'll say it again: And they wonder why they're losing people to piracy and/or competitors? Stuff like this is only going to create lost media.
So glad that my family are mostly Nintendo peeps(which is embarrassing to say) because I'm not playing on their PlayStations again if that's how they're going to treat their products and customer base.

Are you a trans woman living in the US? Do you have complicated feelings around celebrating the 4th of July this year because the country is actively trying to kill you?
May I suggest instead doing what I do every year? One of my oldest and best friends was born on the 4th, she’s a badass trans woman and every year she throws a party to end all parties where we celebrate her, instead of this genocidal imperialist capitalist hellscape.
Traditionally ways of celebrating my friends birth include, but are not limited to:
- Spending time with cool trans people ( @mystery-incorporated-whore and I first got physical with our QPR on the 4th a few years back, I do highly recommend cuddling with your local transfemme goth)
- Eating a bunch of delicious food (I bake over a hundred cookies usually just for the party)
- drinking or smoking if you like (I will not be sober tomorrow)
- blowing shit up
Some assorted shit that happened at last year's 4th of July transtraveganza:
One trans woman put out a lit blunt on the wrist of another trans woman, who responded by moaning so loud that her cry of ecstasy could be heard over the explosives overhead
A trans woman who isn't car-savvy mentioned that her car was giving her trouble, so all 6 cis men at the party grabbed beers and stood around her car as she revved the engine and tried to diagnose it for her, while I pounded a blunt in the passenger seat
Lesbian sex of a few different degrees
Sonata got everyone blackout drunk and then took over grilling burgers and serving them to the aforementioned intoxicated women
it's sorta funny (ignoring the horrors) that cis people can't be trusted with a deadname. any time someone tells me theirs I've forgotten it five minutes later, if you had names for your toes that would be far more interesting to me, but cis people get real "if you give a mouse a cookie" about it it
I'm terrified of people even knowing it, because I know that some people will instantly lock that into their heads as my "real name" and eventually slip and say it instead
Something something that charlottan post about how even if people have only ever known you as the gender you transitioned to, they're still gonna think "oh they're just a boy that I need to remember to call a girl"
Most people won't slip up like that, the average cis person walks on eggshells so they don't accidentally reveal they're just humoring us out of a sense of obligation, they'll think about it and get even more anxious while doing that. This reinforces the wall between them and any insight into the situation.
a wild strawman appears
does someone stand behind these people with a gun forcing them to type this shit where everyone can see it. what in the fuck is even going on
like IMAGINE just admitting this, under no duress
Yeah a comment like that goes in the tags, which are considered private. Fortunately that’s where it was
I get a notification for every note, including this one. They are very much not considered private, if anything you are sending them directly to me.
private area do not read
"the tags, which are considered private"
during my 2,000 years in military service upon the wartorn world of Bantok, we had a member of our unit named Private Tags who was so covered in skin tags you couldnt see his real face. Saying the tag arent private dishonors his memory in incomprhensibly vile ways, youre all going ot mega hell
ah PFC Tags. we miss him every day. war is hell
great post! funny how all the trans women are deleted
yk guys I think a lot of ppl when arguing against the death penalty go for a like "people don't deserve death, etc" view and I get why ppl argue for that I rly do! but it doesn't matter. I don't trust the government to do it, I don't trust them to decide who should die, I don't trust them to determine who is mentally competent, I don't trust them to not be bigoted and discriminatory in their practices, I don't trust them to have the right people, I don't trust them to execute it in a humanitarian way. and I've had discussions with ppl who otherwise have similar viewpoints to me in many ways but can think of people they think deserve to die, and I think if abolishing the death penalty is like, a super important cause to u the same way it is to me, the argument u use shouldn't be "well these people deserve to live" (although in some cases I think yeah the death penalty is done to people who totally don't "deserve it") because that's so subjective, it should be "do you trust the government to do it?" like, do you trust the people who cant even fill potholes on your road to determine who should and should not live
basically the only treatment they give you for anxiety/obsessive thinking is to give you drugs that make you so tired and dulled out that all you do is sleep and sit around staring at walls. you cant be worried or panicking if your sapience is stifled and you dont feel like a person anymore :thumbsupemoji:
"It doesn't help your credibility to exaggerate, most employers wouldn't literally work you to death" like, I used to work in distribution. If booking a truck driver for back to back shifts until they fall asleep at the wheel, crash, and die counts as being worked to death, I have personally met employers who've worked employees to death and gotten away with a slap on the wrist. It may not be universal, but it's a hell of a lot more common than a lot of us would prefer to think.
Death by spreadsheet is an acceptable degree of separation for most in middle management. They can sleep at night without guilt for what they've done, because the system charitably setup twelve degrees of separation between their choices and the real-world harm. But do not be fooled, their choices set that harm into motion. Without their reckless disregard for human life, the harm would not be done.
I used to work at a TV station in Ohio. On weekends, we only had an 11pm news broadcast. Not much happened on weekends, ya know? I worked Monday-Friday 9-5, but someone on the weekend shift quit, so I also had to come in at 9pm on Sat/Sun to work the 11pm news. It was brutal. I worked seven days a week, even if two of them were ~3hrs.
This was a particularly bad winter. One Saturday, we had a level 2 snow emergency: That means you should only travel if you absolutely must. Like, it's not uncommon for cops to pull you over in level 2 emergencies to ask where you're going and why. It is genuinely dangerous to drive in that much snow.
I told my boss as much, how I almost crashed on the way home at 12:30am after a news broadcast. I told him I would need to call off if there were a snow emergency again during a night snow.
He told me, point blank, "If you ever call me about the goddamn snow, I will take it as a call of resignation."
And that was that! The very next Saturday, snow fell again. It was a level 2, but would become level 3 by sunup. Level 3 means driving is literally illegal except for ambulances and snow plows. I stared out the window, watching the snow, and I had to make a choice.
"Will I die for this? Will I kill myself to keep this job?" I made $11/hr.
Yes, managers work you to death. That's their job.
Every single labor protection is written in the blood of those who were literally worked to death, and business owners and profiteers would claw those protections back with glee if they could. They will squeeze every red cent from your body if they are allowed, and write off your death for an insurance payout that they'll try to pocket for themselves while hiring your replacement for half the pay they gave to you.

THAT ONE FUCKASS PART IN THE FIRST YUGIOH MANGA
a lot of loving and being loved by people is recognizing when they're sincerely trying to help or comfort you even if their words are clunky and unhelpful at best and holding onto the sentiment that they are trying to reach for you at all. and a lot of the time that has to be enough because it's all you're going to get
