For one, Neuro is on a singular person's computer rather than being publicly available, so compared to public Ai like grok or gemini, her environmental impact is a drop in a bucket.
Secondly, while Neuro's base model was definitely some LLM, it's been ridiculously fine tuned and trained with a LOT of new data on top of it, the new data being ethically sourced. While her original data/base model can't be said to be fully ethical, any new training data Vedal adds himself he seems to do his best to source as ethically as he can. She's not perfectly ethical, I don't think anyone should claim that. But compared to the other AIs out there? She may as well be a fuckin saint tbh
Third, unlike all these AI companies, Vedal isn't in it for the money. He just wants to make something cool, unique, new. Hell, when he beat the hype train record again recently he was practically begging people to stop donating, something money hungry CEOs would never do. Additionally, he's been offered life-changing amounts of money for Neuro before iirc and has turned it down. He's also very private about her code so that no one can just remake her and profit off her.
Fourth, they support the hell out of human creators. Frequently raiding human vtubers that don't have many viewers. I think it says something about Neuro and her creator that they've fostered an audience so willing and eager to support any human they raid or collab with. Just look at Crelly - she was raided when she had low viewers, and the support or Vedal's audience (the swarm) has drastically changed the course of her life for the better. Additionally, any projects they do have heavy human involvement rather than relying just on the AI. Neuro may be AI, but her, her creator, and her audience are all heavily supportive of human work. Hell, recently neuro did some "AI art" but instead of it being unethically scraped image generation, it's literally her very poorly drawing using a Turtle code. And it's clear she isn't just copy pasting it from somewhere either. Basically, her goal is to entertain humans and make their lives better, and that means supporting human work!
Fifth and finally, it's the sheer effort and love that Vedal and his team have put into this project. He's worked countless hours on her. It's his life's work now, his intense focus. His goal isn't money, or fame, it's just... To test the limits no one else is testing with this new technology. To bring joy to people while taking what AI can do to brand new heights. And then there's the love of her friends and family contributing to a very personal touch no other AI has. It has made Neuro feel so much more "real" than other Ai. The joy she brings to people and the lack of greed. She is really something new, something special, to a lot of people but also just literally. The stuff she can do, no other AI seems cabable of. She's her own thing, not like all the other AIs.
