was doing a first aid course and it kept talking about how when applying first aid to a child you have to ask the PARENT for consent and how the child's consent is not enough unless you cannot reach the parent. and then immediately after there was a unit on shaken baby syndrome, and then mentioned abuse as a common source of children getting injured. and they didn't see the irony there. i later asked the instructor what to do about parental consent if the medical emergency was from the parent abusing the child and she was like "you still need to obtain parental consent. you can report the abuse though" not even acknowledging how fucked the whole system is. i hate it here. youth rights now

oh, but i deserve it, right? evil terf? i want you to just imagine for a second. that homosexuals- individuals who are born innately incapable of opposite sex attraction -exist. just imagine for a moment that we have been telling the truth. and now consider what this demographic has been subjected to, continues to be subjected to. conservatives want you dead because you will not procreate and god says you should burn in hellfire. the left wants you dead because your existence and innate, involuntary and unchangeable sexual orientation is rhetorically inconvenient for the notion that "trans women are women". imagine that you tried your hardest to change, to believe it, that you put yourself through unwanted sex act after unwanted sex act, always with abusers, as the only male willing to penetrate a visibly unwilling, distressed partner is by definition a sexual predator.
but it turned out you couldn't fuck the gay away, you couldn't drink the gay away, you couldn't drug the gay away, you couldn't transition the gay away. and now you bear trauma indistinguishable from high control conversion therapy survivors. and now what. now fucking what? you can't go to a support group for people like you. because the support groups aren't for you. in fact, the support groups peddle the same homophobia that led you to where you are now. nobody on earth aside from a few feminists believes that you. could. not. change. your. sexual. orientation. you can't go out into the community, find your people, because it's literally against the law for same sex attracted women to gather together without males. you can't come out and try to heal by being proud and open about your sexuality after a decade of trying to force it to change, because that could lose you your job, that will get you death threats, rape threats, bigotry accusations.
so what the fuck will you have me do? what's next? where do i go? what do i do? let's just hold hands for a second and assume lesbians as they originally named themselves do exist, and that this is not a preference, but a biological and unchangeable fact. what are we supposed to do now?

Behind every gay/black/disabled/poor man, there is a gay/black/disabled/poor woman who is more oppressed and faces more discrimination than that man.

Men are never oppressed on the basis of being male. Misandry is not real. Men can only extend their empathy to other men. Don't fight for "men's rights", they have too many as it is.
interesting thought i saw on tiktok earlier but ithink needs sharing is this kinda myth that 'men arent allowed to cry, women are'. because well when a woman cries its 'too emotional' 'manipulative'.

something about brand new home that i don't see a lot of people talking about is how they deal with humanity. a large part of the story is about peter and how he thinks he's a monster. how damage control sees jean and her sister as objects, weapons to be studied and then sacrificed for "the greater good". how bruce is treated post hulk crash out even though it wasn't his fault, but the hulk is an inhuman monster so of COURSE he's in a psych ward. it tells you that we can have these notions about who is human and who is not; about what is human and what is not. but ultimately, we cannot deny someone's humanity. and it's not the biggest part of the movie, but banner's words about "what's the good and what's the bad" really ties into the whole thing about who's human and who's not.

Your parents and your culture growing up taught you that women are weak and subservient and must be feminine and obedient and exist to please others and be looked at and lusted after. That's not what you want to be, and rather than expanding your definition of womanhood, rather than realizing women don't have to be like that, you slap a label on yourself to differentiate yourself from all other women, who are definitely like that. Women get harmed and raped and humiliated and you want to feel proud and dignified and safe. You're not like them, that's why you feel that way. Women don't have complex thoughts and personalities. They're nothing like you and you're nothing like them. You're nonbinary.
Your parents and culture have taught you that men are strong, reliable, that their opinions are heard and respected. They're in charge, they're dominant, they can never be hurt. You don't question that image, you aspire to be like that. You're not a weak woman who is worthless, your opinion matters, you matter, so you're a man. You're safe from rape and abuse now, you feel valued and unashamed, and that's not what women feel like. They're happy to be put in their place, you're not. You're a transgender man.
You're so deep entrenched in the gender hierarchy you don't even notice a world exists outside of it. You don't see that women and men come in all possible nuances of every personality under the sun: you were never taught that's possible. You're not getting out of that pit of your upbringing. You're digging it deeper and painting it sparkly purple.
