“ You are never the same after a Dominant man…they ruin the possibility of anyone else.
Ruin it in the most wonderful sense of course.” - beautflstranger
One of my early quotes from a few years ago.
Once you have had a relationship with a Dominant, you will never be able to be with anyone who isn’t.
It’s the way they walk and view the world.
There’s an assuredness and supreme control which they possess.
I recall a statement, made by a Dominant whom I was in a relationship with.
He had quite a bit of important things happening all at once in his life.
I made the observation that he indeed had quite a bit to deal with, more than humanly possible.
He very calmly said ’ I have broad shoulders’ and smiled.
I still smile when I think of that statement.
Because of the ease and absolute flat calm in his approach,
there was nothing he couldn’t solve nor accomplish.
I was not only awed by that, it was a massive turn on.
There was no question. He gracefully took charge of everything in his life.
So many times we hear and read about a Dominant earning a submissive’s trust.
When that really works both ways.
Once a submissive has earned a Dominant’s trust, respect and loyalty.
He will open the most tender place for you and you alone.
His heart.
Be very gentle with it.

Please reblog if you’re a BDSM/kink blog that does NOT support or allow minors.
Everyone who reblogs will be added to the Safe Space Support List! :)
Just need to emphasize this again..
Because I cannot ever stress this enough.
If you are under 18 you are not allowed here. Do not selfishly put people at risk for your own curiosity.
D/s relationships 101: It is inappropriate to ask someone you’ve just met to be your dominant.
D/s relationships are based on trust. You can’t trust someone who you are just meeting for the first time. Trust is earned, and it takes time to build trust.
I think the biggest green flag for dominants is an understanding that almost nothing worthwhile in lifestyle relationships happens quickly. Building trust - long time. Learning someone - another long time. Training someone - also a long time. Healing previous trauma - a whole different kind of long time. Posers all expect it to happen right away, and with little work on their part.
Submissive-Seeking's Traffic Light Safeword System
GREEN is “I’m good with this activity, intensity, speed, etc. In fact, I’m ready to go, go, GO!!!”
YELLOW is “I’m concerned this might be the limit with this particular activity, intensity, speed, etc. In fact, please pay extra attention and take heed that things may need to change if I’m to be able to keep going…”
RED is “STOP THIS THING RIGHT FUCKING NOW AND TALK TO ME!!! I need to reassess if I am able to continue with this activity.”
SAFEWORD (or whatever easy to remember and not used in a scene otherwise word you two agree on) is “WE ARE FUCKING DONE, BEGIN AFTERCARE IMMEDIATELY!!!!”
Whatever else being the Dominant partner may be, psychic ain’t it! Expecting him to just “know” is akin to crossing your fingers and running into traffic without looking expecting to be safe. In other words, it’s just plain foolish as well as dangerous.
There needs to be a way to always communicate these basic states of being no matter what words or gestures you guys choose.

Communicate Daily Boundaries
This morning Pip and I discussed her recent scene with a new partner, and she talked about how she did a good job of expressing what her limits were that day, so she was free to enjoy the scene without having to worry about what might happen that she wasn’t up for that day.
A reminder that people with trauma like cPTSD may have limits that change from day to day, scene to scene, and even within scenes. Also remember that everyone, regardless of health issues, may feel up for an activity one day and decide it’s off the table the next scene. Review daily boundaries before scenes with your partners.
