He did, and had since she had first laid eyes on the ruin that fire had made of his face, though it seemed to her now that he was not half so terrifying as the other. Still, Sansa wrenched away from him, and the Hound laughed, and Lady moved between them, rumbling a warning. Sansa I AGOT

Saw some people reblogging the old version and I reworked it a bit.
Don’t post my art without my permission. You can share it from my own accounts… that’s why I have them. If you’re on fb share it from my fb page. If you’re on tumblr reblogg from my tumblr page. If you’re on vk share from my own vk page. Tweet from my own twitter. Uploading my art on your pages only hurts me as an artist. For you it’s just a pretty picture or a way of getting attention, but you are eliminating me from the artistic process and I cannot grow my social media pages.
Don’t post my art cropped, edited or with the watermarks removed. That’s art theft. Don’t be a dick. If you’re posting it it means you like it. If you don’t support me I won’t be able to continue to produce the art you like (I’ll be too busy sending reports to actually draw).

And the little bird, your pretty sister, I stood there in my white cloak and let them beat her. I took the bloody song, she never gave it. I meant to take her too. I should have. I should have fucked her bloody and ripped her heart out before leaving her for that dwarf.
Yes, i know that quote and the fact that you can see how much Sandor was destroyed in the mind and the spirit when he said it.
"Don't lie," he growled. "I hate liars. I hate gutless frauds even worse. Go on, do it." When Arya did not move, he said, "I killed your butcher's boy. I cut him near in half, and laughed about it after." He made a queer sound, and it took her a moment to realize he was sobbing. "And the little bird, your pretty sister, I stood there in my white cloak and let them beat her. I took the bloody song, she never gave it. I meant to take her too. I should have. I should have fucked her bloody and ripped her heart out before leaving her for that dwarf." (A Storm of Swords - Arya XIII)
Sandor was sobbing AND NOT FOR THE PAIN. He was in the same painfull conditions when he said that he did not care for the little butcher's boy, he growled but he did not cry. Its for Sansa that he cried, he never once pretended to be a better man that he was nor he pretend to no being guilty and wrong for that attraction that he has for Sansa, instead he compare make Sansa cry to a sin equal if not worse than kill a boy. He even compare saving Sansa to his only reediming quality and he romanticize her as she does for him :
"Because I hacked your little friend in two? I've killed a lot more than him, I promise you. You think that makes me some monster. Well, maybe it does, but I saved your sister's life too. The day the mob pulled her off her horse, I cut through them and brought her back to the castle, else she would have gotten what Lollys Stokeworth got. And she sang for me. You didn't know that, did you? Your sister sang me a sweet little song." (A Storm of Swords - Arya IX)
Sandor is not a perfect prince, none is in that books and Sansa knows it better than anyone since perfect prince Joffrey revealed himself for the monster that he is, but Sandor showed to deeply care about Sansa and to perceive his wrong actions against her as his biggest sin. Sandor's intentions werent pue but if he wanted to rape her he would, he restrain himself because he knows he deeply care about Sansa and he devoted to her enough to try at least to change. Its more evident if you compare how Sandor react to Sansa's refuse in opposition to Tyrion :
His mouth jerked as if she had slapped him. "Never?" Her neck was so tight she could scarcely nod. "Why," he said, "that is why the gods made whores for imps like me." (A Storm of Swords - Sansa III)
The room was too dark for her to see him, but she could feel the stickiness of the blood, and a wetness that was not blood. "Little bird," he said once more, his voice raw and harsh as steel on stone. Then he rose from the bed. Sansa heard cloth ripping, followed by the softer sound of retreating footsteps. (A Clash of Kings - Sansa VII)
Sansa had to openly reject Tyrion to get him away form her and even then he is frustrated as if he was misreated, Sandor get away from her because he felt ashamed. We can see that both are aware of their attraction but Sandor is ashamed.
"You look almost a woman...face, teats, and you're taller too, almost [..] Do you like wine, little bird? True wine? A flagon of sour red, dark as blood, all a man needs. Or a woman." He laughed, shook his head. "Drunk as a dog, damn me. You come now. Back to your cage, little bird. I'll take you there. Keep you safe for the king." The Hound gave her a push, oddly gentle, and followed her down the steps. (A Clash of Kings - Sansa II)
Tyrion had commanded Sansa to wear a sleeping shift as well. I want her, he realized. I want Winterfell, yes, but I want her as well, child or woman or whatever she is. I want to comfort her. I want to hear her laugh. I want her to come to me willingly, to bring me her joys and her sorrows and her lust. (A Storm of Swords - Tyrion IV)
She covered her breasts with her hands. "I've flowered." "A child," he repeated, "but I want you. Does that frighten you, Sansa?" "Yes." (A Storm of Swords - Sansa III)
Sandor also has a deep devotion to Sansa, so much so that while Jon was totally indifferent to Sansa being forced to marry Tyrion, Sandor was praying to see Sansa killing Tyrion to save herself :
Sansa only knows songs, not spells, and she'd never marry the Imp. The Hound sat on the bench closest to the door. His mouth twitched, but only the burned side. "She ought to dip him in wildfire and cook him. Or tickle him till the moon turns black." (A Storm of Swords - Arya XIII)
"The little bird flew away, did she? Well, bloody good for her. She shit on the Imp's head and flew off." (A Storm of Swords - Arya XIII)
the second quote is so funny to me, because he was able to answer to Sansa aka the girl that had the whole kingdom calling her a regicide but only cared about Sandor still being on her side :
She wondered what had become of Sandor Clegane. Did he know that they'd killed Joffrey? Would he care? He had been the prince's sworn shield for years. (A Storm of Swords - Sansa VI)
Let's not forget that Sandor certainly knows what happened to Tyrion's first wife. And saying Sansa would be better off dead by his own hand than left to suffer Tysha's fate is a reasonable conclusion for the brother of Gregor Clegane to make. He's relieved when he hears Sansa escaped.
Exactly! They will tell you that "while he was almost dying he was aware that Sansa escaped and safe from Tyrion, so he was just admitting that he wanted to rape her" but if he really wanted that why he did not do it? The truth is that Sandor, unlike Tyrion, feel guilty for his attraction because he is rude man unworthy of a proper little lady :
"A pretty girl, I hear," said the Tickler. "Honey sweet." He smacked his lips and smiled. "And courteous," the Hound agreed. "A proper little lady. (A Storm of Swords - Arya XIII)
This is his biggest sin : that he felt attraction for the pure sweet girl that he wasnt able to save but that made him feel he can be a knight again for her, that he deems as a true lady. Sandor see himself as a mean wild dog and Tyrion as a monster even more cruel than him, so knowing that she escaped does not erase his fears that a destiny worse than death was to be on Sansa since she married Tyrion. Sandor is genuinely a dark character, he is very away from redemption but to pretend that Sansa is not the only person he really cares about is a lie.
Arya had told him to his face many times that she would kill him. She also saw firsthand what Gregor Clegane was capable of. Sandor was out of his mind with fever, dying in agony, and goading Arya into giving him a quick death "the gift of mercy". If Arya actually believed Sandor was like Gregor, and wanted to rape Sansa, she would have killed him, no doubt.
The Hound and the wolf pup, the White Wolf and the lion cub...

She was racing headlong down the serpentine steps when a man lurched out of a hidden doorway. Sansa caromed into him and lost her balance. Iron fingers caught her by the wrist before she could fall, and a deep voice rasped at her. "It's a long roll down the serpentine, little bird. Want to kill us both?" His laughter was rough as a saw on stone. "Maybe you do."
The Hound. "No, my lord, pardons, I'd never." Sansa averted her eyes but it was too late, he'd seen her face.
"Please, you're hurting me." She tried to wriggle free.
"And what's Joff's little bird doing flying down the serpentine in the black of night?" When she did not answer, he shook her. "Where were you?"
And the little bird, your pretty sister, I stood there in my white cloak and let them beat her. I took the bloody song, she never gave it. I meant to take her too. I should have. I should have fucked her bloody and ripped her heart out before leaving her for that dwarf.

Does anyone think what Sandor meant when he said “I should have fucked her bloody and ripped her heart out before leaving her for that dwarf,” was that he would have ripped her heart out but not physically? Sansa would have no heart left to give anyone else because Sandor would have taken it with him.?
"You only like this character because she's a woman!" okay and you hate her because she's a woman, knowing that she has all the traits you would enjoy in a male character.

Albert Camus, from a letter to MarĂa Casares featured in Correspondance, 1944-1959
One of my favourite/most impactful to me personally moments in GoT is when Arya and Sandor see Robb’s desecrated corpse being paraded around while “King in the north” is being chanted. I know Sandor is still supposed to be all tough guy only looking after Arya for money here, but he looks genuinely disgusted and I can’t get over the numb haunted look on Arya’s face, subtle and amazing performances from both actors.
I think on some level, even if it’s a very deep one, Sandor was sorry Arya had to see that. Can’t convince me otherwise.
commission made by Sabictali and based on Beauty and the Beast by Blackshear.
Don't address me as "sir." I'm called the Beast! I don't like compliments. (the Beauty and the Beast by Jean Cocteau)
Sandor Clegane snarled at her. "Spare me your empty little compliments, girl...and your ser's." (A Game of Thrones - Sansa II)
At first I was indeed afraid, Father. Now, I sometimes feel like bursting out laughing. But, then I look into his eyes and they're so sad, that I have to turn away from crying. (the Beauty and the Beast by Jean Cocteau)
Sansa could hear his ragged breathing. She was sad for him, she realized. Somehow, the fear had gone away. The silence went on and on, so long that she began to grow afraid once more, but she was afraid for him now, not for herself. She found his massive shoulder with her hand. "He was no true knight," she whispered to him. The Hound threw back his head and roared. (A Game of Thrones - Sansa II)
Belle: He's entrusted me with the key to his treasure. He has complete confidence in me. (the Beauty and the Beast by Jean Cocteau)
But Sansa understood. She knew the secret of his burned face. (A Storm of Swords - Sansa I)
Belle's Father: You manage to feel sorry for him? Belle: I bear his presence, because I'd be happy if I could make him forget his ugliness. (the Beauty and the Beast by Jean Cocteau)
"Is the Hound the champion now?" Sansa asked Ned. "No," he told her. "There will be one final joust, between the Hound and the Knight of Flowers." But Sansa had the right of it after all." (A Game of Thrones - Eddard VII)
commission1 , commission2 , commission3 , commission4 .
do you ever think about how the hound gave sansa his cloak, which is traditionally part of a marriage ceremony? no? just me? k.
yes, i do. and do you ever think about her preserving it as something dear and important without understanding why? and you ever think about the fact that she was so sure that Sandor would be the one winning her father's tournament, which is traditionally a way to winning the lord's favors? or about Sandor pushing a knife on her throat trying to stealing her, which is traditionally part of the marriage ceremony in free people ?
