I was told “You’re having nightmares because you’re not a real man.  You left your guys to die.  It’s your fault.” “You’re crying because you’re a bitch.  You go to therapy because you’re a pussy and can’t take it.  A real man could take it and would want to go back.” I begged to go back but for some reason, they won’t redeploy you with a bullet in your frontal lobe, hearing voices and seeing walls bleed.

I was suffering from social isolation and I asked for help I asked everyone I asked everywhere even you and all you could do is use me as a punching bag because it was easy and I wouldn’t fight back.

It’s almost as if when we open up we’re punched in the nose over and over until we shut down, wall up and pretend that entire part of us don’t exist.

Yes. Which is why we can infact either kill ourselves or just exist feeling absolutely nothing.

I mean…you can try to do both as I did or you can come to peace with it, dump all of it into God’s lap and just spend about a year crying every damned day to Him.   When I finally got away from her I was beyond broken.  It took me 3 years to believe I had any worth at all.

See?  A talk about emotions.  When there’s no risk of being made fun of for having them, we have them.  That’s why we like hanging with the guys.  You can have emotions with other guys, they’ll razz you about it but that’s how it goes.  

Yeah I know this was years ago, I’m at peace now it exists but it’s a long road 

To all the guys in this post (as well as in the notes), im absolutely fucking sorry you have to go through/went through this shit. No one should be ridiculed for having emotions, they’re a part of what make us human. You’ll forever have my support.
