If you've been following the saga of Tylenol, the people's princess, you probably already know that her biggest rival, Elmer, has had his campaign buoyed by a handful of wealthy donors looking to claim the coveted beer prize for him through sheer buying power alone.

You have probably also seen that after Tylenol's grassroots rise to first place, the Elmerauders struck back with a vengeance, with the same $1k patron as before injecting an additional $1500 into Elmer's campaign to boost him back to first in one fell swoop.

Thankfully, Tumblr's support has already placed Tylenol back into first, raising over $5000 for BARCS in small, passionate donations!

However, this is far from over. Additional details have come to light about the forces behind Elmer's campaign - votes are being bought through raffle tickets for signed NFL merch. Though this has been going on since the contest began, Tylenol's rise is on the Elmerauders radar and more active promotion of the raffle and Elmer have showed up on his owners social media.

Though i abhor the rigging of this cute animal election and believe the people's voice must be heard through our princess's victory, to the credit of the Elmerauders, they seem to be very plugged in with fundraising in general; earlier this year Elmer's owner was involved in organizing a pretty successful AC donation drive (results pictured below) during the heat wave that hit the East coast.

Combined with the new knowledge that Elmer's owner has seen previous success in a similar contest to put his face on a beer can, we're dealing with an opponent who has clear connections to a base with hefty financial means. This is absolutely incredible news for BARCS, but it does but Tylenol's current lead in a shaky position.

With the weekend coming up, we could see a networking push from the Elmerauders and a subsequent jump in Elmer's position. As comfortable as her lead looks, this gap could be closed easily given the base of support the Elmerauders have historically enjoyed.

Stay strong. Stay vigilant. And most of all, put the people's princess on a beer can!

• they've started detaining students liberally. if you're going to the protest or coming from it they're very likely to detain you (the police has spread it check points all across central delhi). you'll be denied entry by auto or even walk, they'll either try to scare you away or detain you. if you're coming from other state especially by railway you'll be asked what are you here for & be asked to prove it.

• the government has blocked 17 metro stations surrounding jantar mantar. for some reason they're also covering up janpath & other nearby metro stations. all entrances to jantar mantar have been closed off & a complete internet shutdown near jantar mantar.

• they are denying lawyers contact with their clients. they've also been denied entry in police station to speak to their clients, that inspector has apologized qa of now & an internal investigation for his behaviour is said to have started.

• they're also making sure that the protesters have no access to food, water or electricity. last night electricity supply to janpath was cut off ++ the police are now stopping delivery men at check points & seizing food ordered by supporters from all across the country (don't worry they have enough food).

• cafes & shops in connaught place have been given a legal notice to shut down by 6 (since many of them were providing free water & washroom services to protesters). even nearby hotels have denied room booking to doctors.

• many creators have been offered money to speak against the protest & start a hate campaign.

• we are under complete state surveillance. the police is using meta ai glasses to record the protesters, and is later running a facial recognition check on them.

We need to start commenting under other people's posts about how to properly warn for flashing lights and eyestrain. We need to be emailing and calling companies about their possibly triggering advertisements that could induce seizures. We need to stop tolerating ableism and start speaking up for the more vulnerable.

Also, stop putting epilepsy warnings. That's like saying "warning: schizophrenia" on a post including unreality or "warning: dyslexia" on a post with a typing quirk. First off, the disability mentioned isn't the only group of people that this could trigger. Second, it doesn't truly get the message across and instead makes it worse for those with the disability-- scrolling through the epilepsy tag on Tumblr should get you to view the content of other epileptic people, but no, you just get a bunch of flashing lights and eyestrain, even though you could instead tag for, oh I dunno, flashing lights and eyestrain.
