absolutely love how a random 'doctor', after shaming me in numerous ways that had nothing to do with empirical medical science, told /me/, /who grew up on a self-sustainable farm in "the mediterranean"/, to 'start eating a mediterranean diet'. girl even your water has HFCS in it.

i really didn't think i'd experience it on my own skin, because visit after visit my vitals and every test result are poster-child perfect; but this person really told me that they were (once again) perfect, but that i was simply unhealthy. (yes it's because of how i look)

for those who haven't yet heard: BMI is fake and created by the healthcare industry to induce whatever type of fear they need to (hint: it's fatphobia) and invent disease where none exists, or blame very real other diseases on weight and 'obesity'.

I am overweight. I'm not what they would call 'morbidly obese' but I am not thin. My doctor had to give me cardiac clearance for a medication i was supposed to start taking for my mental health. Every single test they did on me, especially blood pressure and sugar, lung stuff, bloodwork, came out perfect. I mean did not deviate the slightest bit from the 'suggested' or 'normal' levels. i lit up green like a christmas tree. This should have been the end of my visit. I was certainly in good physical health to get this cardiac clearance and start taking medication that would help me manage my life a little better on the mental end. I passed the medical history part too.

So tell me why this doctor I had never met in my life had the urge to sit me down and tell me that I was embarrassingly fat, that I needed to lose "at least 10-15% of my body weight", told me that my diet was wrong (hadn't even asked to know what my diet was.........), and many other things.

I can't believe I'm saying this but this stuff literally never would've come up in my small little ex-yugoslavian country. and i haven't changed anything about my lifestyle.

the states literally makes sure that every single bite of food you get in this country is somehow packed with ingredients/substances/chemicals/nutrients that are detrimental to one's optimal health, they blast calorie numbers on every product (even though calories mean NOTHING in the actual plan one should make for their personal daily nutrient intake), they put corn syrup wherever they can substitute it for sugar, they make sure even the salads you eat are covered in stuff that takes away from the intended nutrition of one eating a salad, etc etc etc idek it's 1am and i'm writing this so frustrated even though it's been a week since this happened to me. i can't stop thinking about it.
