what it really comes down to is how they had eddie be absent from multiple episodes - one of which was literally bobby’s death - and they can’t even justify it by showing how important the texas storyline was for eddie’s character and his relationship with christopher because they.. didn’t make the storyline have any importance? most of it was off screen and whatever was on screen was rushed, lacked depth and didn’t even have any payoff considering he still didn’t make the decision himself to choose joy.

apart from buck not behaving normally about his supposedly platonic bff moving away it is also very funny that their 'fight' also consisted of buck being like 'well you know i don't have to tell you every thought and decision that goes through my mind immediately,' a sentiment which is true for most people, and eddie taking it like a sword in the back.
