I wonder why they even went to all the trouble of making bucktommy's breakup about eddie and "the competition" and buck moving into eddie's house etc if none of that matters now. They're not even friends anymore like what is this. It's not even tense in a good way, they just have nothing to do with each other's lives

They really took so so many steps back since texas/you do matter to me/the competition etc that I can't even see buddie happening anymore. What would possibly have to happen to make them a thing for the general audience who doesn't remember moments from a year ago or 5 years ago. Right now they're not even friends, there's nothing but distance between buck and everyone else and we have 1 episode before the hiatus. They really killed all the momentum along with bobby.

it's like we were playing dolls with this really intense story going and then we got called away to help with chores and in the meantime our little cousin's picked up the dolls (as well as their toy spaceship) and is just doing something else with them that doesn't tie in to the story we had been building up
