Welcome to my kingdom of lost things. Call me VHS.
He/Him or They/Them. I like lost media. I'm a friendly person despite my mature content, don't be afraid to stop by.
I go by RottingVHS, but feel free to call me VHS. I don't like Rotter much, it makes me sound bad.
I very deeply enjoy finding media that people have either forgotten about, or find disturbing or controversial in some way. I find as much information as I can on it, share it, and if so desired, I will recreate the work to either make it more appealing, more engaging, or simply fix what people felt was wrong in the first place.
I am 17, but my blog will often be for those that are mentally mature enough to handle the content I make. Not because I draw naked people or anything, but solely for the fact that many pieces of obscure media involve a lot of dark themes, and in order to accurately share information and possibly rewrite these pieces of media, I will actively choose not to sugarcoat such.
I am very open to questions (as long as they aren't too terribly personal, such as where I might live) about myself and my work, as well as what I think about certain pieces of media and whether or not I will be talking about them. If there is an interest expressed, I almost certainly will. Despite the content I display, I promise, I am indeed a friendly person, even if I can be a little awkward sometimes, and am very happy to talk with whoever would like to stop by.
Please enjoy yourself. You only have one life — as long as you're not harming anyone, live it to the fullest.
Feel more than free to visit my Strawpage for a little bit more about me, as well as asking or sending me things there. I'll be around, thank you very much.

Up next is a digital horror series that has been recently given a webseries on YouTube, and even has a video game on the way. While the series has recently been gaining more traction, I feel it is a very good look into issues that should be addressed in day-to-day life, so I'd like to talk about it.
Recognize this face? This is Lacey, from the creator Ghosttundra's series, "Lacey's Games".
Each episode is inspired by early 2000s-Flash games. Most of them are centered around a girl named Lacey, and they all appear to be innocent at first glance, but they each take a dark, psychological twist. They often delve deep into very real scenarios, such as stalking, murder, abuse, and grief.
LACEY'S WARDROBE
Lacey's Wardrobe opens as a 2000s dress-up game, where Lacey prompts the player to action by stating she has a date with the cutest boy later on in the day, but she needs help getting through her day by the player helping her get dressed for each occasion.
Things quickly progress, and not for the better. There is a glitch after the player helps Lacey get to the park, in which a face can be seen in the shadow of the trees (if you look closely during the celebration dialogue box, you can see the face before the glitch happens). During the event in which the player needs to dress Lacey up to go to the mall, the gameplay is intercepted by a phone call from an unknown individual (presumably from the individual seen in the park), with the following audio playing,
"Lacey...Lacey, did you see my texts, Lacey? I can't wait to meet up, Lacey... I want to..." There is a lengthy pause of the heavy, trembling breathing that is present throughout the entire call. "I want to have a good time tonight with you, Lacey... Tonight... Bye bye...!"
The screen then glitches after zooming in on Lacey, and when the screen returns to normal, the face of the person, known as The Stalker, is looming ominously in the window of Lacey's home as the game continues making the player change her outfit. When the player is finished, Lacey will go to the mall, where The Stalker is not present.
The celebratory "Well done!" box, as the player attempts to transition to the next part of the game, will quickly read, "please help", before the screen cuts to black and the dialogue switches to, "he's going to kill me". The screen then becomes entirely black, before the game finally moves to the next part.
When nighttime, the implied time for the date, arrives, the player is prompted with changing Lacey's Wardrobe for the final time. Knocking on an off-screen door can be heard. As the player changes her shirt, one of the clothing option boxes reads, "there is a gift on your doorstep". Upon clicking this box, the image of a heart-shaped gift will appear on the screen, slowly opening to reveal the organs of another person.
There will then be a secondary call from The Stalker. The following dialogue can be heard:
"Lacey, I'm here... I'm here, did you get my gift, Lacey? Do you like it? I'm here, open the door, my darling! Open the door... OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR!"
The call abruptly drops. The player is forced to continue changing Lacey's clothing, even as the screen displays pleading text, such as "please don't make me go outside, please, please". Regardless, the player finishes dressing Lacey, and sends her outside. Instead of seeing "Well done!" on the celebratory screen now, however, the box reads, "what have you done".
The screen cuts to black, before loud sobbing and heavy breathing (joined by squishing, moist noises) are heard, and images of parts of Lacey's body, mangled and mutilated, flash on the screen.
After this, in almost pure silence, is a close-up on The Stalker's face, in front of a pink background. He stares for a moment with large pupils, before they shrink to small dots, and text appears beside him.
"I ate her remains so that we will be together forever. I love you, Lacey."
It is safe to assume because of this, that the squishing noises from before, were The Stalker cannibalizing Lacey.
After a few moments of total silence and a black screen, the title screen of Lacey's Wardrobe returns. Then the video ends.
I've found multiple noteworthy things in my searching about Lacey's Games.
This game is somewhat styled to be like the bait-and-switch Flash games in the 2000s. The ones that were not simply fun dress-up games, but ones that looked as such at first to role an unsuspecting child into playing it, only be reveal its frightening hidden content once the child became settled with the game. Do you remember the Cooking Mama PETA game?
The Stalker is the individual Lacey is going out on the supposed "date" with. Obviously, they are not truly out on any date, but given the point above, the narrative must paint the scenario to look like this to role the player in, at least at first.
The organs presented to Lacey as a gift implies she is not The Stalker's first victim.
While this almost certainly does not need to be stated, The Stalker's "affections" towards Lacey do not stem from any genuine love, despite what he might say and think. What he truly feels is either a desire to torture her further, or, at its worse, feels a one-sided perverse obsession, solely on his part. There isn't an ounce of true, genuine love in either half.
The Stalker is depicted to be, to an extent, mentally deranged, and possibly mentally-ill. Despite this, there is no evidence nor confirmation that The Stalker is unable to distinguish right from wrong, meaning he could have very well been able to tell he was doing something completely immoral consuming Lacey and still chose to go through with it anyway.
It has been implied by a few sources that The Stalker has gotten away with his crimes.
There are theories to this very day that The Stalker is Lacey's uncle. I myself do not believe this theory. However, regardless of what anyone believes, this theory has not been officially confirmed.
Note that there is a video game version of Lacey's Wardrobe not connected to the Lacey's Flash Games game. This is not an official game by Ghosttundra, and multiple sources state that this very game was made without the permission of Ghosttundra altogether.
This is solely Lacey's Wardrobe. This is not the other videos in Ghosttundra's series, Lacey's Diner, Lacey's Pet Shop, Lacey's House Makeover, Lacey's Makeup Parlor, Jay's Hip-Hop Class, Jay's Skating Game, or Maisie's First Day of School, and this is not an overview of Lacey's Flash Games. There isn't too much known about any other Lacey's Games media beyond Wardrobe, Diner, and Pet Shop, but if you would like me to cover any of these at all, please let me know. I deeply love the Lacey series, and as a man, I feel everyone should watch the series.
It is a very good look into very real things people go through. Things like stalking, sexual abuse, incest, mental illness, the loss of a loved one, and physical abuse are not things that should ever be romanticized or made to seem more miniscule than they are. Lacey's series is a wonderful display of what these situations really are.
To anyone out there who relates to Lacey or any of her friends, please stay strong. There are people out there who love you — I love you. I am certain you are capable of amazing things. This world truly would not be the same without you in it. (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
Until next time, my friends.
(P.S.: You may want to open this this time, if Lacey's Games interest you. ↓)
If you happen to notice any inaccuracies in my findings, by all means, feel free to kindly let me know and I will make changes where they are due. I am not afraid to be corrected, as I would like very much to accurately understand the media pieces within this passion of mine. All I ask, is that you either provide me the exact location in which you got your information, or at least guide me to where you believe you may have seen the correct information.
As well as this, if you have any questions, don't be afraid to reach out. If I don't know the answer, either, then I will put forth my best effort to resolve both our curiosities.
Thank you, and until next time.
Also, if you do not want me to cover the other games, but you would like to explore the Lacey's Games titles in your own time:
Lacey's Diner [contains depictions of violence, drugs, incest, abuse, murder, and suicide]
Lacey's Pet Shop [contains depictions of violence, animal abuse, the death of animals, incest, abuse, and fictional dead bodies]
Jay's Skating Game and Lacey's Makeup Parlor [contains depictions of violence, graphic death, grieving the loss of a loved one, mental breakdowns, and fictional corpses]
The Official Lacey's Flash Game Download Link [As all of the Lacey's Games videos have been turned into playable point-and-click interactable adventures in the game, all of the above video warnings apply here.]
So far, the other videos appear to either be simply rumors or one-off images. However, if I do find any content related to them, I will post them here.
Next on the list is something that is more an anomaly in an algorithm. I'm fairly certain anyone who was around for the start of YouTube and the advancements in its algorithms, knows of this.
Full Stop Punctuation is a YouTube phenomenon many people from the days of the more in-depth development of YouTube's algorithm know about.
Discussion of the video anomalies began to take off in 2019 when users realized typing either a simple period (".") or the phrase in its entirety ("full stop punctuation", which many people believe periods "translate" to in the algorithm coding), would bring up shocking, disturbing, or even gore videos. The content of these videos has also been compared to content made by the YouTube user "Elsagate" on occasion.
There is also a variation of Full Stop Punctuation, which is a random string of symbols. Note that these often contain the same sort of content found in regular Full Stop Punctuation videos, only these are reportedly more likely to display gorey material.
Unlike the other things mentioned here in the Broadcast so far, this is truly and completely real. Or, at least, it was.
Note I had stated before, that the coding within YouTube's algorithm would read "." as "full stop punctuation", but since "." are "special characters", it would not register them as titles, and therefore bypassed YouTube's content filters. YouTube has since, with the rise of the morbid content slipping through the previously-unseen cracks, edited the algorithm, so "." is read as "dot" by the algorithm. There have been many more updates to the filtering system since then as well, so any attempts to find content in the Full Stop Punctuation content type will rarely result with success.
Now, what will you find in the random chance you do find something for "old-fashioned" Full Stop Punctuation?
Well...not too much. Often, you will find a video with a disturbing thumbnail, but upon clicking, you may most likely find brief compilations of memes, or what people call "shitposts". Some people even see clips from television shows or movies.
This being said, do take caution. Just because that's what the majority of Full Stop Punctuation is now, does not mean that's all it is now. Especially with older content of this kind.
If you would like to look into Full Stop Punctuation on your own time, should curiosity spark your motivation, I have found a way to bypass YouTube's filtering and hiding of the content, passing the "dot" reading and getting genuine Full Stop Punctuation videos.
If you would like to give this a try, simply search "Full Stop Punctuation", with the "∅" symbol after it, without any spaces.
Like so:
Note that only putting the symbol I used at the end of the search term will also bear the same outcome, but I have found a lot more results for the videos titled with strings of random symbols, than content for regular Full Stop Punctuation. However, it will also bring up other content similar to things often found in Full Stop Punctuation videos, without necessarily falling into that category.
Please be cautious when viewing. I do not have the right to attempt to stop you from accessing this kind of material, nor will I try, but I cannot guarantee you will or will not come across things you do not wish to see. Please stay safe.
Until next time, my friends.

Shifting away from creepypastas (unless you count ARGs as creepypastas), next on the list is much less revolving around a character or an individual, and more on an event.
The Wyoming Incident is a completely fictional event, a story, crafted from 2006-2007. It is considered one of the earliest examples of an internet ARG.
For those who may not be aware what an ARG is, an ARG is an Alternate Reality Game. People will blend elements of fiction with parts and pieces of reality. Online, they present parts, puzzles, and clues, requiring other users to solve these puzzles, piece these parts together, and use the clues to progress the story the ARG presents.
According to several sources, the video of this event surfaced in 2006, claiming to be "forgotten footage" of a television hijacking from 1987 in Niobrara, Wyoming.
The video displayed floating, polygonal three-dimensional heads spinning or vibrating, each head demonstrating a different expression in some way. These heads were all paired with text such as, "What hides in your mind?", "You are ill", "We just want to fix you", "You will see such pretty things", etc.
It was reported that those who saw the hijacked broadcast experienced nausea, headaches, and hallucinatory episodes. This was stated to be due to the 17-19 hertz frequencies within the broadcast.
I have found a reuploaded version of what appears to be the original video of The Wyoming Incident hijacking, if you would like to watch it here.
The video was spread over websites like 4chan, Something Awful, and eventually made its way towards apps like YouTube. People, hoping to help the ARG spread, created multiple versions of the video, made fake blogs of the supposed owners, and even created an organization that was claimed to be behind the hijacking (called The Happy Cube by several sources).
This was a massive collaborative ARG by many people online. However, it is simply that — an ARG. It is a work of fiction. There was no Wyoming hijacking of this kind, especially not with this very video.
Despite the large amounts of fiction in this story, however, there is some truth in it.
From what I have found, televisions in 1987 could only reach, at their lowest, 50 hertz. However, the amount the story claims to have had would have indeed lead to paranoia, headaches, and even hallucinatory instances.
The story itself was likely inspired by a very real television hijacking that took place not in Wyoming, but in Chicago. Many sources refer to it as the Max Headroom hijacking. The Max Headroom hijacking was a hijacking event where independent TV station WGN-TV's broadcast was hijacked for 17 seconds by a man in a Max Headroom mask. No audio was picked up by the individual, and after those 17 seconds, the station was able to gain control back of their broadcast. Two hours later, PBS member station WTTW's showing of Doctor Who was interrupted by the same hijackers who stole control from WGN-TV. Since there hasn't been anyone overseeing the station of WTTW, the hijackers were able to be on the air much longer, referenced several Max Headroom advertisements, before moving onto other unrelated topics. The broadcast then ended with the masked person showing their naked rear to a woman with what appears to be a flyswatter. The pirate broadcast was then ended, and after a 90-second interruption, Doctor Who resumed. Though the individuals behind the hijacking are theorized to be a very small group with high knowledge of how television broadcasting works, and even theories about who the hijackers could have been have surfaced, no one has ever been caught, nor has anyone come forward.
Until next time, my friends.

Onto the next obscure piece of media, another creepypasta. It isn't too often you find someone who recognizes the creepypasta, but when someone does, you can likely guarantee they could probably tell you the entire story and all its remakes inside out.
This definitely charming, not spooky little face is Eteled. He is a Mii within the Wii console of Kyle Sanders, a fictional child within the story of Wii Deleted You.
Wii Deleted You was a story written by IceyPie (now known as Nuclear Blue) in August of 2017. The story is rather short, but the essential plot is this:
Kyle receives a Wii from his father on his 7th birthday, which is 9 days after the Wii console was released. I have yet to find if there is significance behind this being specified.
Kyle has his father help him set the device up, and gets on the Wii to play Wii Sports. However, claiming the Mii Maker catches his eye instead, he gets on the Mii Maker to make a Mii.
Upon the Mii Maker opening, there is already a Mii there by the name of "Eteled", which Kyle notes as being the word "Delete" reversed in spelling.
Characterizing Eteled as a Mii without any hair, possessing large eyes and a small nose, and sporting a large grin, Kyle states that the Mii creeped him out, and he had deleted the Mii to put himself at ease. He then created a Mii, which he names "Kyle", after himself. Upon returning to the Mii Plaza in the Mii Maker, however, Eteled had returned with no explanation, with nothing about his strange appearance being different whatsoever. Kyle was quick to delete him a secondary time.
Choosing to attempt to forget the entire ordeal, Kyle moved onto Wii Sports to play with his Mii. After a match of bowling, Kyle notes his opponent in the other lane is Eteled once the Mii turns around to celebrate a strike. Kyle returns to the Mii Maker, where he begins having a conversation with the Mii. Eteled asks why Kyle is trying to delete him, to which Kyle anxiously states he simply does not want Eteled on his Wii, to which Eteled chastises him for. Eteled says that Miis have feelings, and asks how Kyle would find it if Eteled tried to delete him.
The screen then displays what Kyle describes as "the scariest picture he's ever seen" — Eteled's face, though the features are far more gruesome. One feature specifically noted is that Eteled's eyes had been replaced by gaping holes of blood, the crimson liquid pouring out of the sockets.
Kyle, out of fear, flees the room and tells his father there is something wrong with the Wii, to which his father states Kyle has been playing the Wii too much and may need a break. Indeed, Kyle tries this, but upon return, he was forced out of the Mii Maker, and back to the home menu. Kyle soon finds he cannot create anymore Miis, and that he is now stuck playing as Eteled in any game he plays on the Wii that requires him to be a Mii.
If you would like to read a copy-and-pasted, word-for-word archive of the original Wii Deleted You story, you can access it here. There is also a link there that claims to link to the original story IceyPie once posted.
Obviously, this story is not an account of a real event in someone's life. A sentient Mii has never traumatized any seven year old on his birthday.
The animatic by TheMaskedChris had taken multiple creative liberties with the story, such as introducing Sam (a girl who takes interest in the concept of sentient AI, someone who becomes a companion of sorts to Eteled), the Corrupted Mii (who was once Austin Sanders, related to Kyle, who is the victim of Henry Morris — who this narrative depicts as the once living soul of Eteled, whom now possesses the Mii — who is the enemy of Eteled), and several other faces. It paints all of the characters in a very human light. It also displays Kyle as being older than he had been in IceyPie's telling.
Obviously, nothing in this version is an accurate recounting of any person's life. However, there is a mild truth to this story —
The concept of corrupted Miis.
I do not know if the appearance of "Blockheads", as I've heard them called (see image above the bottom-most), is solely an occurrence in emulators, but I distinctly recall causing one to appear in my own 3DS. I will admit that had startled little seven-year-old me, but once I got used to him, I didn't mind him anymore.
I have found some remarkable information while looking into the creepypasta some time back:
There have been many remakes and Friday Night Funkin' mods of the Wii Deleted You creepypasta.
As if this weren't obvious just by browsing the Mii customization options, all the Mii customization options Eteled is known for (blocky head, large grin, big eyes, small nose) are found within the Mii Maker. The size of the mouth, nose, and eyes can also be edited to be the proper size Eteled has within the Mii Maker itself.
IceyPie's Eteled was initially conceptualized to have a white shirt rather than the black one he now has.
Rather than being a worker at Nintendo who murdered his coworker (Austin) — which also ended up getting him killed and both of them turned into Miis — Henry Morris was originally meant to die by slitting his wrists, later possessing the Eteled Mii, a Mii Henry reportedly created in his time alive while drunk. The only reason this was not the canon plot, was because IceyPie's mother supposedly frowned upon it.
Many people recreate Wii Deleted You with humanizing takes on characters such as Eteled and Kyle. This can be seen in TheMaskedChris' Wii Deleted You Animatic, Vibingleaf's Wii Deleted You Retake, and a few others, though most fan-made media surrounding it consists of Friday Night Funkin' mods such as this one played by CommunityGame.
There were apparently stuffed animals of Eteled and the Corrupted Mii available for purchase. I am not certain if these are still available, nor am I certain how easy they are to get ahold of.
This creepypasta, similarly to Mouse.AVI, is also considered to be a very poorly-written one. However, many people do like a lot of the media inspired by it, frequently making memes and art of the characters.
CHANGE LOG:
Many thanks to @umbraticstickerz for correcting me on information.
Sam and the Corrupted Mii are part of the remastered Wii Deleted You by IceyPie. The original I provided here is widely considered not to be canon any longer.
The Corrupted Mii plushie is not a toy that made it past prototyping. The only stuffed toy between the two Miis that got to be brought to fruition, is Eteled. The opportunity to purchase the Eteled stuffed toy has passed quite some time ago, and he is no longer available by normal means of purchase.
Corrupted Data: Revived is a creator-approved fan-made project that didn't include IceyPie very much at all. Corrupted Data: Revived builds upon Austin's story.
Until next time, my friends.

Next on my list is another creepypasta. While many people during the start of the "creepypasta character" phase know the story very well, it had a considerable breath of fresh air with the release of a certain popular rhythm game.
Oddly enough, this image was a bit of a hassle to find. Most searches for Mouse.AVI bring up a remake of some kind, and there are quite a few. I am not here to discuss preferences on them at this moment, though I myself do have a few.
Mouse.AVI, also known as suicidemouse.avi, was a creepypasta that surfaced in 2009, supposedly on a 4chan board. The video was exactly nine minutes and four seconds long, created by user "JoJacob666".
The first three minutes of the video are spent with the iconic Mickey Mouse (in a style very similar to his Steamboat Willie design, what with the monochromatic color scheme and the simple drawing style) from Disney, walking past an infinitely-repeating series of buildings. His hands remain hidden behind his back, his expression downcast and hollow. In the back, a loud, discordant, eerie tune plays on a piano, not at all like the upbeat tune one would expect from an old cartoon, especially with such a beloved character.
Upon the approximate spot of the three minute-forty second mark, the screen cuts to black, and all audio pauses.
When the four minute-thirty second mark arrives, the visuals resume, with everything within the video becoming extremely distorted and surreal, until the term "визирования ада приносят своих телезрителей назад внутри", Russian for a phrase quite close to "Visions of hell bring their viewers back inside", appears. Then the video ends with a man hidden in the shadows of a dark room slowly approaching the screen.
You can watch what I believe is a one-to-one remaster, if not a true archive of JoJacob666's Mouse.AVI here
This film reel was claimed to have been created by Walt Disney himself (some accounts claiming it had been made during a very difficult time in his life). There had also been multiple claims that, depending on where you get the story from, anywhere between one to several Disney employees committed suicide after viewing the old cartoon, leading it to be hidden until it was dug back up.
While this creepypasta is definitely an entertaining spin on history, no such creation of Walt Disney's exists. Walt Disney never created a film of this sort, especially not in which his beloved mascot endures such an obvious mental struggle. No film of theirs had been haunted, nor had any worker died from "the sights of Hell".
Curiously enough, there is some truth behind a genuine Disney creation in which Mickey Mouse endures mental health struggles, as well as gripping with wanting to die — similarly to how many current interpretations of the Mouse.AVI tend to course.
Titled "Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers", created by Walt Disney and Floyd Gottfredson, a section of this comic strip was dedicated to Mickey mistakenly believing Minnie Mouse had fallen in love with a con artist named Mr. Slicker, leading him to become heavily depressed and attempt to take his own life several times within a week.
This is indeed a very real comic, and if you cannot find it to read anywhere, you can check out this review of the comic by ComicsAlliance.
This comic is thought by many to have inspired, if not the original Mouse.AVI, remakes and interpretations of the creepypasta, such as the popular Friday Night Funkin' mod, Wednesday's Infidelity, which initially follows a very similar plot to Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers. I cannot find anywhere if this has been confirmed to be the mod's inspiration.
There are several things I've found notable throughout my research of the Mouse.AVI creepypasta, as well as many of the works inspired by it:
Mouse.AVI is claimed by many to have started the trend of the "lost episodes" media type, such as things for SpongeBob, the Simpsons, The Amazing World of Gumball, so on and so forth.
Mouse.AVI has made a noticeable shift from causing those who watch it to commit suicide, to Mickey himself wanting to commit suicide, and in some instances, both.
Unless you deliberately choose to view the Russian in the original Mouse.AVI as the work of the Devil, a Satanic figure doesn't appear in the original creepypasta by JoJacob666. As of what I have found, the first appearance of a demonic figure did not appear until the GorixGorix remake of Mouse.AVI, and if I recall correctly, he only appeared for a few moments as a jumpscare after Mickey dies at the end. After this appearance, The Devil has been frequently tied to content related to Mouse.AVI, such as Satan being the narrator of a video game (see Suicidemouse.exe), or being the massive overarching enemy of the plot like in, once again, Wednesday's Infidelity.
Several remakes of the creepypasta appear to have Friday Night Funkin' mods inspired by them in some way.
There are over 2,000 remakes, retakes, and interpretations of the Mouse.AVI creepypasta. This does not include video games or Friday Night Funkin' mods. I cannot find an exact estimate, but I found a YouTube video with 2,000 versions of Mouse.AVI playing at once. This implies there are well over that many versions of the creepypasta.
Despite having several well-liked remakes and fan-created games and content, Mouse.AVI has repeatedly been rated by several sources as one of the worst-made creepypastas.
Until next time, my friends.

I believe we should start with a face most individuals who were around for the "awakening" of YouTube know quite well. Does this face ring a bell?
This is the video known as "Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv".
This video was repeatedly cited to have released around 2008 (though some people claim it came out in 2014 instead) on YouTube. While a 22-second-long clip is known to be the original, the story claims that there had once been a 2-minute-long video on YouTube, but due to the "issues" it posed, the company cut the video down to this much-shorter snip-it we know today.
These "issues" were, according to the narrative driven by the video, the viewers that made it to the latter end of the video would suffer severe insanity, leading them to gouge their eyes out and send them to the YouTube company. YouTube had cut the video down to 22 seconds, claiming this amount of the video was safe for viewing, after 153 people reportedly suffered from the video's morbid effects.
While this is certainly an interesting narrative, it obviously is not true. Especially with other versions of the story sprouting that YouTube removed the video in its entirety. The man in the video is simply just a regular man, some people identifying him as "Byron Cortez". The video is by no means haunted.
The man's very image, as I've found, was taken by a friend of his for a business portfolio, one that is no longer available.
I personally find that his face is very unsuspecting of what his image would have been used for in the future XD
Some interesting facts I had learned while researching Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv a few years back:
As far as I am aware, the very name "Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv" doesn't mean anything. My running, undisputed theory thus far is that it is simply a real name, or string of names, someone had used when crafting the video.
Intriguingly, the video and the concept around the creepypasta following it had become very popular in Russia, supposedly leading to embellishments where the story was concocted by the United States Secret Service. I myself have not been able to find any versions of the story like this, and while I would like to say it feels too specific to be untrue...you know how the Internet can be.
Brokenanddrive, the individual believed by multiple sources to have released the original Mereana Mordegard Glesgorv video online, admitted once in an interview that when asked about releasing the video to YouTube, would deliberately pretend not to have done so.
People claim now that attempting to search for the video now will bring up nothing, and that YouTube wiped its site of the very video.
Now, I'm not sure if it's solely my YouTube...
But I fear I don't have this problem.
Until next time, my friends.
