What’s your OC’s response to being asked for money by a homeless person?
Rinda: Whatever they're asking for in copper or silver she gives in gold without fanfare. What they use the money for is irrelevant--she's a paladin. She serves the god of justice, and justice isn't a sword. Justice is a shield and an open hand.
Benny: Don't mistake me--Benny has compassion, her name is Benevolence and she lives up to it. But one of her defining characteristics is also her intense paranoia. She doesn't like anyone seeing where she keeps her money, and she doesn't often like letting herself be stopped on the street because that's how ambushes start. She's not going to outright refuse or stonewall someone, but she's not gonna get within arm's reach either--but that applies equally to anyone, regardless of appearance.
Kite: Kite rarely has much cash on hand, but given her family are literally slumlords she feels more responsibility than most to give what she does have. Some money and then, usually, both something useful she has on hand (a spare saddle blanket, a hat for the sun) and, depending on where she is, a quiet word on who to namedrop where to get the help you need.
Lorne: Lorne is honestly the least likely to give anything, not because she's unfeeling but because her own family are barely above the poverty line and she genuinely does need whatever she has. She'll feel like shit about it though.
Sedge: There but for the grace of god, honestly. She'll give you whatever you're asking and won't grumble. Probably sit with you for a minute as well, talk for a bit like a person. (Rinda will also do this, of course, no preaching or condescension just talking; but the dynamic is different with a holy paladin than with a scrappy farm-girl-turned-sellsword.)
Atri: Atri would absolutely get jumped in an alleyway because someone got her attention and she stopped to fumble with her purse.
...And that wouldn't change her in the slightest. She's Order of the Broken Chain--the belief that death means freedom from tyranny and suffering and that therefore the Raven Queen cares about those things, and her servants should fight them where they can. Rinda paces her charity so she can help everyone a little--Atri is the kind of person who gets asked for bus fare and hands over a hundred dollars in small bills because it might help.
Concorde: The odds of Concorde having cash on hand are actually lower than Lorne, she's a fucking midshipman. All her money exists purely theoretically, she owes most of it, and her pay is as per usual nine months in arrears. But even odds, she'll spot you a meal and a drink on her tab.
