I know this is meant to be an emotional climax to the fight scene, but the blatant photoshop animation gets me every time. Never change tokusatsu, never change.
Artistically, this was a beautiful scene. Kureha's image burned into the wall as a permanent reminder of her death.
Narratively, this scene didn't need to happen. I get that their hands are tied with her actress' schedule, but there are better ways to write her out of the series.

It's so clear Five doesn't like what he's doing, if we couldn't get Kureha, at the very least we have to get through to Five.
I guarantee Zeztz will end with CODE collapsing in on itself.
Before, Five showed signs of hesitancy with Kureha in a coma. I really hope that her death is what snaps him out of CODE's control. I don't like how it would require Kureha's death, but that's where we are now. It better have an impact on the story, or else it will just feel like a cheap shock moment.

I know there is BTS stuff in play here. Kureha's actress has a busy schedule, I'm sure. But this is more a failing on the writing for not working around that. Like they could have had Kureha defect sooner and say she was working in the shadows this whole time to help overthrow Three.

Yep, that's the biggest sign of an evil organization in toku. They're objectively correct in protecting the people. However, this is very dark use of "the ends justify the means" situation.
I thought Somnia would prevent people from being able to dream. Without dreaming, good or bad, there would be no more Nightmares, something like that.
The real purpose of Somnia is a bit topical. People controlling the narrative of a potential catastrophe. As a means of controlling the situation by controlling the public.
