I cannot believe this movie wasn't bigger and didnt make its budget back. This is a horror Kill Bill but it's cooler than Kill Bill. It's a woman battling through a tower of rich people who sacrifice poor people to the devil and they're immortals so she just kills and butchers and tortures and kills them again over and over and it rules.
The trailers hid the immortality twist, which might have contributed to potential audience members not realizing they’d be interested, but it did work out for me because I cannot describe the feeling of realizing I had actually bought a ticket to the best movie of the year. I actually sat up in my seat and gasped. I knew I had signed up to watch a woman fight rich assholes with a sword, but it turned out I had signed up to watch camp hyperviolence where all the cultists continually regenerate and come back to life. There’s disembodied legs! There’s an eyeball rolling around! It’s so good everyone watch
Yeah the living eyeball sequence is another highlight!
