Recently, I've seen some people complaining about how the whole 'outcast character/protagonist' in movies is becoming bland and they should try other things, and while I completely agree that studios should always strive for creativity, I cannot fathom how much I love this generic trope, and many people around the world probably do too
I've been an outcast, and seeing "myself" on the big screen is always gratifying because it reminds me that I don't need to change, and that I'm perfect the way I am. That's why Spiderman: Brand New Day stuck to me, specially Jean Grey and Peter's convo. They comfort each other in the fact that they will NEVER not suffer for being 'different', but it doesn't mean they don't deserve love and kindness. If I didn't have this thing where I never cry at movies I'd be bawling my eyes out at that scene π
Not to mention this type of theme is EXTREMELY important in modern society (specially among teenagers) because of cringe culture and how much it's killing individuality π
so hard not to become the most annoying person on earth if you're a little excitable and just learned a little about a topic literally no one around you has any interest in
REAL. I feel like I'm annoying people when I talk to them about it because they get the most serious face when I'm overexplaining an interest so I dunno if they're just focused or completely uninterested π«
Advice I gave someone today was: 'do it stupid.'
She wants to learn photography. Do it stupid. Take a million photos. Don't think about why they're not good. Enjoy the process of taking photos.
Pick out tge ones you like the most and figure out why you like them. Is it because the subject is centered? Is it because you caught them doing something cool? Is it because the light made cool shadows?
Do it stupid. If you try to do it smart, youll get stuck. If you think too much you'll never get to doing. Do it stupid.
Holy shit
This is honestly how I started quilting! I had fabric, I had a knowledge of backstitch, I had a quilting magazine. I asked "how hard can it be?" and now here we are. Just have fun and give it a go!
I wish I did this from the start, then my hobbies wouldn't feel like chores π«
god's weakest soldier is scrolling tumblr instead of being productive or participating in any of their hobbies
