I lament to my best friend about how genuinely saddening the implication of what I can only see as 4 teenagers (I genuinely cannot see them as anything other than children) getting caught up in a war and as a result losing their bodies is.

I have so many thoughts about this subject actually because WOW do the adults in this show suck. Like genuinely the only actually good ones are Sir C and Aunt Spheria(and Zac and Sunny but they're unfortunately only in one episode), everyone else is just genuinely terrible to these literal children. Pac, Cyli, and Spiral can save the world multiple times, save these individual people multiple times, and yet, and yet, the grown adults around them will still turn against these teenagers at the literal drop of a hat.

And oh my gosh I am extremely not normal about the Ghost Gang's whole deal. I genuinely flat-out consider it canon that Pinky is a child (she acts like a stereotypical teenage girl and has a crush on another teenager, there is genuinely zero reason to assume she's not a teenager), and I cannot see the other three as anything other than teens as well. And by all accounts the Ghost Gang should have had their bodies back after episode 1, because the deal was "if the mission is successful, we'll do all we can to restore your physical bodies". And then the mission is ultimately successful, but the Ghost Gang for some reason don't get their bodies back. And this just. . . never really gets addressed.
