I grew up during several fashion transitions in Hip hop culture. I was fully immersed in it 24/7 and I like many of my close friends, we all were B-boys and B-girls at one time or another. We were all vinyl carrying DJs, spray paint stained, graffiti artist, lyrically gifted poetic MCs and baggy clothed, back pack wearing break dancers.

I have since grown up and kept the culture and shed the clothes associated with it. However some of my male friends have yet to rid themselves of the oversized clothes and actually continue to purchase clothing that just doesn't fit. I'm not sure if the average man is afraid to buy clothes that fit correctly or they simply don’t care to try things on before purchase(was guilty of this for many years).

Well hopefully this simple guide will assist any and all with determining the perfect fit for your pants and jackets….

A gripping aura of fantasy, romance and fairy tales swept through this open air studio atop the Ailey dance center in Midtown. The origin of this aura was carefully created in the imagination of Misha and perfectly executed through her fusion of craftsmanship, color, flow, sophistication along with a dash of playfulness. Throughout the designs Misha uses organza pearl flowers along with colors like honeysuckle, mint, and creme brulee to give her creations an organic life of their own. This superb execution of colors and materials seems to excite not only one’s sense of sight but also taste and smell. Some of the note-worthy designs included “Daffodil”. This short sleeveless scultpled silk brocade cocktail dress is topped by a low satin grey V shaped back. The dress seems to really wrap the body well and you will have no trouble accentualing the feminine physique of any women. Want to dress it down for a night of clubbing? Just add a nice leather moto jacket and a pair of spiked leather Louboutin stilettos with clutch. Another show favorite of mine was the three quarter mint chiffon dress with sequin detailing affectionately name Meadowsweet. For soon to be brides who are secure enough to choose great bridesmaids dresses for your bridal party, Meadowsweet will exceed all your expectations while maintaining the romance and elegance of that special day. Meadowsweet is that dress that your bridesmaids will look stunning in and will make a great addition to the the wardrobe of even the most discerning fashionista. By far my favorite design would have to be the “ Lemon Mint” The wide legged chiffon trousers paired with the half-sleeved brocade jacket adorned with pearl flowers simply screams “HAUTE.” The flow of the trousers juxtaposed against the tailored jacket truly transports you to that forgotten meadow. And once you are there you realize that all your wishes have come true.
