Years later you find yourself in the middle of a raging battle. Your allies are precariously balanced between life and death. You are wounded, but can still fight, albeit not as fast or as swift as you would like. On the opposite side of the battle field, you see your friend engaged in combat with the leader of the enemy. It does not seem good. Your friend is trying to get up, but their body is shaking. Their hair is matted and coated with blood. The enemy leader has his sword drawn, ready to strike down and kill your friend. You will not get there in time. Tears well up in your eyes.

Not them.

Not like this.

If only you had just a few minutes.

1. Appears whenever they have an unsolvable problem

2. Does something cool/ something we didn't know he was capable of to solve it

3. Leaves for the next 10 episodes doing who knows what only to reappear at the next unsolvable inconvenience

Like legit.

Chuuya is flying a helicopter while Poe is sniping.

Both did infiltration work - Poe in the Kamui arc, Chuuya in Mersault.

We all know he would talk back in 0.01 second and be doomed.

And he is also lucky Izuku took that guy out in his match.

You might as well also get delusional about flags surviving, somehow, not sure how, but they did (That's what I do, and it works out quite well)

I do love a good "Flags survive" AU. I love a "Piano Man is next in line for boss (because clearly Chuuya and Kouyou don't wanna do it)" AU. Love a "Iceman trains Gin and Kyouka as assassins and Albatross teaches them how to drive" AU. Doc is living his best life watching Yokohama and the world go through catastrophe after catastrophe. Lippmann owns a movie studio and uses it to launder insane amounts of cash just to turn around and personally invest in the projects because he cares about the craft.

And the fact that now the flags are dead. And that door that lead to a... Happier, less angry part of Chuuya - part of Chuuya that felt like he belonged - is sealed, it got slammed down on him when they died.

We might never know Chuuya the way the flags got to know him. That's sad.
