🎂 Thirty-Nine and Still Rising
So here I am—39.
People think I’m turning 21, and I’ll take that as a compliment. But truth is, I remember 21 too well. I was deployed to Iraq that year, in the sandbox, where there was no drinking, no celebrating—just survival. I don’t want to go back there, but I’ll never forget what it taught me.
At 39, my world looks completely different. I’ve been on Dark Star Radio for 11 years, running 8 shows (yes, eight). Lady Desire commands two of them, and she’s also stepping into OVERLOAD, tearing through the wrestling stage with fire and venom. On Sundays at 2PM, I hosted another wrestling show: RISE as My Tie—because the world doesn’t stop turning, and neither do I.
Next Season My Tie becomes a voice for a wrestler. 🤼 because I prefer playing a character over hosting the show! I learned that when I stepped up to be Lady Desire. So you have that to look forward to next Tour!
And then there’s Second Life. I thought I was done with it. Walked away. But last year it pulled me back in—not with what I expected. Wrestling was never my thing, but performing? Performing is in my blood. Through Second Life wrestling, I discovered the art of spectacle, the drama, the storytelling. Lady Desire thrives there, and so do I.
And outside the digital stage? Life keeps unfolding. This November 20–23, I’ll be stepping onto the IRL stage in Huntley as part of The Addams Family Musical. Another chapter, another character, another chance to bring stories to life.
So yeah, 39 isn’t 21. It’s better. It’s bolder. I’ve built a life of music, myth, performance, and fire—and I’m not slowing down.
Here’s to the next year. Here’s to Dark Star Radio. Here’s to Lady Desire. Here’s to the fans, the fighters, the dreamers, and the wild ones who keep showing up.
