A Greek idea and a very profound one.

Though i do like the anonymity of this website, I think having my name and face attached to my work is important for me to feel connected to it. Soooo if you guys wanna know me a bit more personally you can follow my substack. Its @da2moon. (its free ofc. i would never charge) I’ve only recently gotten on there to try and disconnect from the short form content everywhere. So i’m planning on posting a little essay about shame on there within the next week. I will probably be cross posting it on here as well. So yeah. I love everyone who has ever sent me a pm or an ask. i love being tagged in peoples favorite blogs. i truly appreciate it all and hope you guys want to continue to write and be inspired by each other with me!

Hello everyone!!! Long time no see. You know life happens but I’m back. I really missed posting on here but couldn’t gather the motivation to post. But if any of you still care I will be more active on here. Thanks!!

This is going to be a rant that you have heard many types but it will hopefully have extra flavor because I am on the verge of falling asleep. The whiteness in the whole  of Dark academia is so toxic and annoying and I think this is mostly because it is reflective of real life. Black people are so underrepresented in Academia in general. so growing up as a black girl not only did I not have any fictional characters to escape into, when I looked at the writers, scientists, politicians, etc, that were praised in everyday discourse none of them were black. And I’m saying black and not POC bc Asian People were always used as a token in both academia, as well as literature illustrating them as people who are just smart and have no other qualities, good or bad. Not even mentioning the complete absence of Native rep. even now when we are more “woke” on issues. I just really hate it here but I also love it here because we are very self aware when it comes to recognizing the Elitism and Racism that surrounds the art that we love. I really like the fact that a lot of our fictional books that we treasure are still able to be questioned and criticized. Anyways this is basically just incoherent rambling on a subject we are all aware of. I probably won’t check for typos so I appreciate you reading in spite of them
