A headcanon about Aevus that makes me laugh; he has no idea that his human form would be considered attractive. If he's ever told that he stands out, he automatically assumes that it's because he's super tall (I'm thinking like 6'3).

It was not the first time Aevus had heard the prayers of mortals. Centuries ago, it happened more often - prayers of gratitude, devotion...things like that. Kintsugi and metalworks were usually the conduit for his devotees to pray to their patron. The practice died over the centuries...
So, hearing a prayer directed at him so suddenly caught him quite off-guard.
It was easy to chalk it up as an accident; he heard that kintsugi had been experiencing a slight rise in popularity. He supposed he should have expected a wayward prayer or two to reach him as a result.
"What a strange thing to say."
A painting has arrived alongside a hand written letter. It was written very meticulouly as if they were struggling to make it legible. The letter reads as follows:
"I heard you were from Sinnoh. I figured you would appreciate this. Time changes the definition of beautiful, but I will always remember what she was with heavy heart. - S.S."
The canvas was of Mt. Coronet in a rustic but colorful oil painting. Void of modern structures, it almost makes the sky look cleaner than it currently does. Why, even the temple, while not the focus of the painting, very clearly still had a roof.
The roof is what gets his attention first. Enough time had passed for the Temple of Sinnoh to fade from humanity's memory, surely...so to see a picture of the temple as it used to be is a pleasant surprise.
Once that fact registers, Aevus looks over the rest of the painting. It was not just the Temple of Sinnoh; the entire painting depicted the Coronet area as it was in the Hisuian Era.
Aevus reads aloud, "Time changes the definition of beautiful..."
Perhaps this is from someone related to the Diamond Clan? That does sound like something a Diamond Clan member would say...or at least, someone who came to view him as 'Almighty Sinnoh'...
...And the thought brings a sese of melancholy.
"Celebi, you're certain the glitter wasn't too much?"
"Compared to the punch Lucas gave that guy? I'd say the glitter was a perfect addition!"
"If you say so." Aevus is just going to have to trust his daughter's judgement here; she always had a better understanding of humanity than he did.
It looks like there is an antonymous gift for Aevus. Inside the package is a neatly folded bit of attire. It is a greatcoat with a rather emphasized collar that can be fastened closed to act as a full shield against the wind and inclement weather. The dark navy coloring is broken up by gunmetal grey trims along the cuffs, lining the pockets, and following along the seams. The coat's material is a thick wool mixture that feels sturdy but flexible. The buttons are sewed on tightly, and their design, though far darker than the real thing, to match with the rest of the color palette, seems to be inspired by the adamant orb.
There is also a cute little satchel containing replacement buttons and thread, a lint roller, wax polish for the buttons, as well as a water-repellant spray. There is also a note that reads: "It gets cold up there, right? Please remember to dress warmly."
Well, this was a surprise.
Sinnoh was known for its cold weather, but Aevus never quite minded that. That didn't mean this present wasn't appreciated. Far from it. The coat was beautiful, and it looked comfortable to boot. Whoever sent him this certainly had an eye for aesthetics.
The buttons caught his attention as well. Was this custom made, or was this from one of those clothing lines that took inspiration from himself and the rest of the Pantheon?
The little satchel was cute. Were all of these materials for maintenance of the coat? That was really interesting.
Now...who sent him this, is the question.

One thing to note about Aevus is that the eyepatch isn't just for show; he lost his right eye in a battle against his sister. It was a sacrifice that he deemed necessary, even though he can't clearly see the future due to this particular injury.
"Lucas, do you know what 'rizz' means?"
"...I need a moment before I answer." His patron legendary - the primordial deity of time - just asked him what 'rizz' means. What a time to be alive.

a sun deity
Not that you know at first, not really. They wear a golden mask and a sunburst crown. They stand tall and proud in their fine clothing. Yet despite their regal aura, guests keep their distance. They whisper about the enemy kingdom which worships the sun, instead of the stars. They wonder how someone dares dress like that at the starlight ball.
You approach the stranger and they take your hand, leading you into a dance. Soon, the crowds open and stare in awe at your dance. Your dance has presence and elegance, and soon the room is filled with golden light like the first day of spring. You spend the night dancing and talking.
They tell you about their home, about palaces of gold and fire, fields of citrine flowers, days of eternal summer. Once the sun rises and all the stars have faded, you will step into the gardens and their dark hair will glow with golden light. They will offer their hand, and welcome you into their kingdom.
They will say that you deserve to be adorned with gold under the light of the sun rather than the stars. Will you accept their invitation?
