I was following this guide for Bi Pride Space Marines by CerberusXT, and I got as far as the washes but never did the highlights. It's a bit of a reach considering how limited my painting experiences is, but I frequently get excited and bite off more than I can chew. :-)

I've won two tournaments with lists that included a Hatchetman (mostly because I wanted a lance full of melee mechs), and its primary use is to be bait. When you position it, you put it in a place where the rest of your lance can target whoever is going after the Hatchetman. It's slow and has weak armor so opponents will generally target it first, but its also very cheap so if it dies, then you haven't lost much of value.
