One of the funniest things about enemies-to-lovers ships is how they’re almost always obsessed with each other. i always think about how heinz’s parents tricked him into going to america and basically abandoned him. i fully believe they told roger who was most likely around 8 - 12 that he just straight-up abandoned the family for greater things. i think that would make roger quite spiteful and mad at heinz — even when he discovered the truth it’d be hard to let go.

Tbh there’s parts of AYA I genuinely enjoy so I don’t actively hate it it’s just. The parts that are bad are yikes level bad. I honestly think it could be fixed if they’d kept the focus on Phineas and Isabella and not the backyard gang and the Fireside Girls—I think they could be there but not have such a focus. I like the premise of Phineas and Isabella’s relationship but I don’t like that Phineas gets blamed for so much even though what might have been is a gorgeous song. I also really enjoy doof’s side plot so that can stay pretty much as is. I think you could fix it by just having ferb and candace take on a few the kids’ roles (though not to the extent they do) plus show more of phineas and Isabella, axe ferbnessa, and get rid of the weird gender essentialism/make baljeet and gingers relationship better.
