- Perry was so Asexual this episode. Not just the iconic purple suit, but the whole like, “random girl gives you her number and you’re too polite to not accept the number but you’re also definitely not gonna call her” thing? Like. Yeah. As someone who’s demiromantic that’s a whole fuckin mood bro

- I love that Perry has a life outside of the whole OWCA and pet things, he’s a regular at this specific restaurant? He knows the staff? And the fellow regulars? Enough that some of them got unrequited crushes on the damn platypus? They have a rapport? The staff has opinions about Perry’s relationship status?? This is a whole entire sitcom setup that exists wholly outside his already wild life I’m absolutely digging this

- CARL REGULARLY HANGS OUT WITH NORM??? And also that other guy I guess. Who is he. Did they literally just put him there so that Carl having dinner with Norm at a fancy restaurant would feel less like a date? … oh hello new crackship unlocked actually

- controversial opinion but I kinda like how Vanessa is literally just wearing her normal outfit but with a long skirt. She knew this would get messy and she dressed accordingly. Iconic. Also usually it would be the other way around with the girl character wearing the fanciest outfit and the boys all dressing casual so this is refreshing to me

- I love everyone’s outfits actually they’re all so FANCY!! Fucking. Perryshmirtz family outing. Hell yes

- That being said I was expecting Perry’s speech to be, idk, angrier? I heard someone describing it as Perry cussing them out, but it sounded a LOT more heartfelt than that, and like. Fuck man, he just wants everyone to get along? He wants his daughter to be able to have this?

- I like that Carl thinks Monty and Vanessa make a cute couple. Character development!!! (Especially considering how negatively he was acting towards Monty the one time they interacted in the old show, and how closely associated he is with Monogram! A previous version of Carl might have taken Monogram’s side just for the suck-up points, but this version happily has his own opinions outside of what his boss thinks, and I’m happy for him in regards to that!!)

- the bathroom scene kills me. Dear lord. Just. Everything ABOUT IT

- Restaurant staff giving Perry unsolicited relationship advice??? Lmao

- NORM THINKING HIS SISTER CAN DO BETTER? LMAO (I mean he’s kinda right tho)

- Is it just me, or are Doofenshmirtz and Monogram giving like… auspisticism vibes? ♣️? They’re clinging to eachother just minutes after having to be held back from trying to tear eachother’s throats out. They WANT to be held back. They’re dragging everyone into their stupid rivalry. They’re playing harmless pranks on eachother, threatening each other with real harm. They needed Perry yelling at them to prevent their stupidity from ruining a happy relationship involving people they really and genuinely care about. They needed someone else to fix their mistakes once it got over-the-top enough to threaten an entire public restaurant’s worth of people from tangible and immediate danger. They’re being petty as shit. Like. ♣️!!!!

- Vanessa’s song fucking SLAPS my WHOLE BOD

- Listen. As much as I love the chaos that Vanessa and Monty dating creates, and as hard as their chemistry goes…? I still think they’re eventually doomed to fail. I’m glad they’re dating now, and that they’re able to be open and honest about it, but those two are going to be exes one day, and that’s okay.

-You can see the cracks in the foundation of their relationship here in a VERY interesting way. Vanessa has deeper concerns about them, concerns she was trying to address here that never actually got addressed. She hated lying to her dad. She is no longer lying to her dad, but now it feels more like they’re dating just to piss their dads off. And she’s not into that idea nearly as much as Monty is.

- It’s fascinating, because Monty is older than Vanessa, but is in many ways less mature than her. It doesn’t come through very often, but Monty absolutely inherited his father’s pettiness. He’s not just in this relationship because Vanessa’s hot and they have good chemistry, but out of a sense of rebellion against what his father would want him to be. It’s the most interesting part of his character, and it’s the root of his relationships inevitable downfall. I’m excited to see them together, but I’m also excited to see them fail.

- the kid trio going to the car wash with Buford’s weird uncle. Buford’s weird uncle might have just become one of my new favorite random background characters just for that

-The bit with Candace showing her mom the night sky was oddly nostalgic to me. Me and my mom would do that to eachother constantly, like “holy shit get out here you HAVE to see this!” over whatever nature thing was happening at that moment. Like I get Candace was actually trying to show her mom the drone light show tech that Phineas and Ferb made, but the night sky really is just. So pretty on its own.

-also Candace taking the time to doodle her own special design with the drone lights before grabbing her mom was awesome. She’s an artsy fartsy gal when the mood strikes her

I mean, I wouldn’t be disappointed if they did. They’re definitely not making the Candessacy throuple canon, so I’ll throw my weight behind this pairing. I do think they’re cute together, in an awkward teen romance kind of way.
