Race is a cultural construct - we have all learned to artificially identify racial “categories” and have collectively created boundaries that do not exist.

We exist on a continuous spectrum of physical features and traits - not to mention cultural ones. Just a little something you can remind anyone who might be talking about “them vs. us” in any situation.

Military leaders say there will be no changes to transgender policy until Trump gives further direction

The chairman of the joint chiefs of staff said on Thursday that, so far, there will be “no modifications” to the military’s current policy on transgender service members.

In a message to military leadership, a copy of which was obtained by Politico, Marine Gen. Joe Dunford wrote, “I know there are questions about yesterday’s announcement on the transgender policy by the president … There will be no modifications to the current policy until the president’s direction has been received by the secretary of defense and the secretary has issued implementation guidance.”

Someone who deserves their own section

Chester Bennington (No. 3, music) passed away last week. The response from his fans was immediate and incredibly emotional. Chester and the rest of Linkin Park played a therapeutic role in so many lives. He will be deeply missed by millions and millions.

Mental health can be hard to talk about, but it’s important to remember you do have people to talk to if you need it. No matter who you are, no matter what you’re going through, there are resources out there to help.

Rest in peace, Chester Bennington.
