i don't like the term "straight omegaverse" because all omegaverse is straight unless the couples are the same designation (so alpha/alpha or omega/omega). If in the world of the story it is the cultural norm that one part of the couple is an alpha and one is an omega but doesn't matter what their gender is and the male omega can get pregnant (and again, this is the societally and culturally expected outcome), AND you don't challenge these roles at all, you aren't writing gay fic. you created a scenario where that gay couple is now a straight couple.

if the relationship is socially and politically encouraged, expected, and essentially what the whole society is built around to codify and uphold, that is a straight relationship. if in the omegaverse world an alpha/omega couple are this relationship, and the genders of the parties do not matter (which is the case for most omegaverse fics i have come across) then that is a straight relationship. it has stopped being a gay fanfic. let's face it, in most omegaverse worlds, your conservative grandma is not upset by m/m relationships. they can have babies! they can uphold royal bloodlines! grandma eunice is mad at your omega cousin who only dates other omegas and has gotten a hysterectomy and dresses like an alpha
