It completely disgusts me how many of you casuals hand your accounts over to basic script kiddies. If you want to protect your digital domain from pathetic phishers, execute these strict defensive protocols immediately.

Blacklist "Free Nitro" and "Game Tester" DMs

Anyone messaging you out of the blue offering free Discord Nitro or asking you to test a "cool indie game" is a scammer. Blast their asses!

Clicking those links or downloading those .exe files drops a "token grabber" onto your PC, instantly stealing your active session.

Real elite users do not click links sent by randos, even if the message looks like it came from a friend's account. Chances are they totes got hacked.

Terminate QR Code "Verification" Traps

When joining a new server, never use your phone to scan a QR code to "verify" your age or identity.

Discord QR codes are designed strictly for logging into your own devices. If anyone asks for that you best report that server INSTANTLY bruh.

Scanning a scammer's QR code instantly authorises their machine to log in as you, bypassing your password completely. Lame, right?

Erect (KEK) a Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Firewall

Navigate to your User Settings > Family Notes / My Account.

Turn on Two-Factor Authentication using a dedicated mobile authenticator app.

Download your backup codes and save them completely offline.

If a hacker somehow manages to swipe your password via a fake login page, they will still hit a brick wall without your timed phone code.

Annihilate the "Accidental Report" Scam!

If someone messages you claiming they "accidentally reported your account" and tells you to talk to a "Discord Admin" on a different server, block their sorry asses!

Discord staff will never contact you through informal direct messages or demand your account details!

Do not change your account email or pass codes just because a panicked user tells you to. It's more than likely 100% fake.

And and yo..... You do not need to download third-party "token protectors" or antivirus tools that might secretly contain malware themselves.

Recognizing phishing psychology stops scams before malicious code ever touches your physical hard drive and is totes coolio. Keep your rig fresh and clean, even if yo desk might be sticky.

Relax, you hyper-anxious casuals. If you actually followed my instructions to the letter, your account security is now running on a god-tier protocol. Stop sweating.
