Trying to figure out why I'm so dang emotional this week. I understand it's that time of the month but this never happens. Let's go cry again.

Love is this thing, right. It's hard to explain and it's a word used multiple times a day by everyone. "I love that shirt", "I love mozzarella sticks", "I love this show!", "I love working out". These things are all wonderful and praiseworthy don't get me wrong, but the love of God is a totally different thing. It's deep, way deeper than I'm going to take it this morning. But I'm encouraged by the fact of the harder my husband presses into the Lord, the more benefits I get from it. I want to press into the Lord to be able to pour love out on others. That's all about that. Told you I wasn't going deep. I'm doing a challenge. So this is the point I wanted to get to. Love isn't a fluffy thing you feel when you first meet someone and connect with them. Maybe slightly. That could be a mix of adrenaline and lust, idk. But love is a choice. When married I need to wake up every morning and purposefully choose to love my husband(even when his socks are scattered throughout the living room). I have to choose to love my sister (even when she's a pain in mah butt). It's a choice and we need to be intentional about it. We need to pursue it. Once your married that's when the work starts. Dating is like tying the fishing string onto the hook. You then put the bait on the hook and try to catch the fish - engagement! You've got them hook line and sinker. So now what? Do work. You've got to make that fish taste awesome. Season it, prep it, put work into it so it doesn't suck ! I love my husband for this because he's so gifted in this area. Right now we're doing this challenge to strengthen our love by going straight back to the basics. Kissing is the basics. So we are making a pact to kiss 10x a day. Hello other married couples- that's something you don't do, right?! That's like what we did when we were dating. But you should never stop dating! Catching the fish is the most enjoyable part of the whole process - it's work because you need some skill and to be on your best game. Without that, the marriage wouldn't work either. So far it's going great and doing wonders for both Peach and I. So with that, I would love to challenge you and your spouse to "date". Thing of some unique way to "date" again and never stop. Never stop pursuing the one you love most. ((It's easier when you do it in the strength of the Lord)).
