i’ve seen people apply that “144 years and you’re still louis the pimp paying a whore to sit in a room and talk to you” line to lily, regina, daniel, daniel again, etc but never armand. which like. obviously armand holds a tremendous amount of power in the relationship. but sex work was kind of his job for his entire human life and i do think that informs their dynamic. they both kind of fall into these roles because it’s easy & comfortable for them.
