Near the end of the article it is predicted that CO2 buildup will make the ocean so warm and acidic that the Great Barrier Reef will be dead by 2025 if something doesn’t change.

World Breaker Hulk feat. With only three simple footsteps World Breaker Hulk would have completely shattered the US Eastern Seaboard which has a total area of 1,020,533.05 square kilometers or 394,030.01 square miles. Each step would have to deliver 1.125 billion megatons of energy so that 3 steps was enough to shatter the US Eastern Seaboard. A maximum force punch from the World Breaker Hulk would have 11.25 trillion megatons of energy!

Triboelectric generation is definitely something neat. This post is not fiction... any longer but I remember reading one book close to 20 years ago where the hero's onboard computing was powered in part by the movement of the protective suit he wore. The story was not too great but that concept stayed with me and it's cool to see something like it in real life. Science finally caught up.

Namor durability and healing feats. Cyclops takes off the visor to blast Namor with maximum force which delivers up to 100,000 megatons of energy. Cyclops has trouble focusing such a blast and at the point Namor has been hit I estimate the blast covers 1,800 square feet. Namor takes roughly 0.7% of Cyclops’ blast force and gets knocked back slightly. Namor withstood 700 megatons of energy after being out of the water for a while and continued to fight without a problem. I believe it would take 7,000 megatons of energy delivered in the same interval to do some serious internal injuries (with Namor out of the water for a while) taking him out until Namor recovered. Freshly showered with water Namor would have much greater durability. Namor’s healing is amazing while in the water but slows quite a bit as he dries. It took him less than a minute to heal from being stabbed in the chest by Wolverine when he landed in a swimming pool.

Cyclops releasing his optic beam at maximum force can destroy a mountain. Unfortunately his visor was never designed to focus his optic beam at maximum force so he would have trouble focusing such massive power without a visor. Cyclops has said, I am going maximum power and used his visor but this is usually the maximum power he has total control over. A fair estimate means at maximum intensity Cyclops’ optic beams can vaporize one hundred billion tons. This translates to a maximum beam that can deliver one hundred thousand megatons of energy! To put this in perspective the largest thermonuclear bomb made is Tsar at fifty megatons so he can fire the energy of two thousand, of the largest thermonuclear bombs detonated, from his eyes at maximum force.

A supernova explosion can produce a blast energy of ten octillion megatons which is what everyone claims Superman withstood. Superman was caught in the blast of a supernova at least 80 million miles away. Superman survived but was out cold for a good period of time. Getting knocked unconscious like this, for the amount of time he was unconscious would indicate some serious internal damage Superman had to recover from. It would take over 71 minutes at 10% of the speed of light for the blast wave to reach the planet Superman was on. At this range and with half of Superman’s surface area Superman actually only withstood 63, 426.17 megatons of energy. This is still a massive amount of energy and based on this a punch delivering at least 2,350 megatons is enough to knock Superman out for at least a few moments. A punch of this energy could release 10% of the strike energy into the atmosphere and ground. That means knocking out Superman is like detonating a 235 megaton bomb at the point of impact. At the very least this energy would vaporize a city!

Luke Cage has a maximum overhead lift of 25 tons but in the heat of battle with adrenaline in his system he has been noted lifting 50 tons overhead. In the picture above is a 5 ton moving truck carried by Luke Cage. This means at the most this truck will weigh 5 tons with truck and payload combined. This is not a semi as someone claimed.

Here is an example of Luke Cage getting cut by White Tiger's claws. White Tiger's powers are mystical in nature so magic blades and claws can also cut Luke Cage.

Luke Cage does not have unbreakable skin but after he learns the full extent of how much his skin can take I can see how he can get cocky and say he has unbreakable skin. Originally it was said that Luke Cage's skin was unbreakable by conventional hand weapons like knives, swords, axes, clubs, and handguns. A certain writer took some liberties and now people run around saying he has unbreakable skin. If Luke is punched hard enough you will spit his skin and he will bleed. Adamantium and secondary adamantium can both cut him, a high powered laser will cut him too and Captain America's nearly unbreakable shield will hurt his skin when it hits him with enough force. His skin is not invincible or completely unbreakable but it is some seriously tough stuff.

In terms of running speed Superman is slower than Shazam. Superman's top running speed isn't much more than 2,000 miles per second while Shazam has the potential to keep up with the Flash (Barry Allen) so Shazam can hit speeds Superman could never reach. Flying is a different story though.
