Do you have any thoughts on Lyrium Ghost Leliana? I used to find it silly at first but over time I grew to kind of love that concept lol? And its pretty fun how on her first conversartion with the Inquisitor she will outright tell them she came back to life, so Inky can be like "wait what" and just....live with that information for the rest of the game unable to bring that up to anyone else

Hihihiiiii. I LOVE Lyrium Ghost!Leliana and there are too many fans that are stupid about it. Like yes DAI isn't written to be really inclusive of that route and yes we probably needed a bit more explanation of what a "lyrium ghost" is, as, well, ghosts do not functionally exist in Thedas. But god dammit Leliana not even in death being able to escape her devotion to the Chantry and being literally brought back to life in some form only for the only friend she could trust left in this world to explode. AND the Inquisitor learning all this and still going "hmmmmm. Ghost Pope. It'll be fiiiiiiine."

i've got the kind of eyebags that make people in movies say 'you look like hell, detective. go home.'

i mentioned this before somewhere else but i still really wish the end-of-character-arc choices were point based instead of selection based. and i understand why it is the way it is, likely in part to development factors, but it feels really weird for Rook to be the one to choose how these arcs end. "Oh I can't possibly choose, Rook what should I do" would be okay if it was like, one or two companions but it's every single one. Admittedly some are worse offenders than others, but I think it would work better from a character development standpoint to give the companions some agency in how their arcs conclude.

#this isn't a criticism so much as a yearning for deeper storytelling and characters #i know this is a roleplaying game where you make choices but sometimes the player making choices is tossing a wet blanket on an otherwise #good story buildup. in my opinion. please dont kill me with hammers.#for the most part i do like the companion story arcs flaws and all #however for filtering purposes just in case ->#veilguard critical
